I'm pretty sure that's Mario galaxy 1. Could you fly on the second one? Also, my favorite series of all time plus my favorite game of all time? Yes please

This is similar to what I hoped Kid Icarus would play like when they first announced it. Of course, it ended up completely different, but I still want it nonetheless XD. Maybe next time?

Two power-ups from the original game, Rock Mario, and the ability to fly were all in Galaxy 2 but never used. The Ice Flower had it's data removed but when hacked back in it works great and even has remixed music if it's forced to activate in a certain level so Nintendo must have removed it somewhat late in development.

I imagine without collision detection the ability to fly is a real life saver.

Didn't Rock Mario debut in Galaxy 2? Do you mean Spring Mario?

@Frank

Spring Mario was used in Galaxy 2, just not very often.

Flying Mario exists in the game but is never used. And he's right about Ice Mario.

I think what this really proves is that Nintendo needs to make a Pilotwings using only Nintendo stages. Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Kirby, Star Fox (now that'd be meta), that would make for an awesome setting for a flight sim. Better than WuHu Island, at any rate.

Or at least remake it for the Wii U or 3DS.

Sincerely, Bonesaw.

I'd be impressed if you could actually walk around in these levels and there was stuff to do in them.

Every time, I just can't help but extoll how much I love Wind Waker. That theme makes me melt every time I hear it.

Regarding Hyrule Castle without the water: OH MY GOD! They moved the castle to Skyloft!

I can picture Link getting cannon shot towards the Forsaken Fortress only to see Mario fly next to him. As Mario flies up towards where Ganondorf is located, Link hits the wall and falls.
