Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's official site listed a Wii forum by accident

Check out this message from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 website...

Members of the Wii Community — When migrating our forums from Call of Duty: Black Ops to the new site, the "Wii" section migrated with it, which should not have been the case.

To date, we have only confirmed development for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. We apologize for any confusion that this may have caused. Please stay tuned here for any updates.

Seems silly to make a statement like that if there were a Wii version in the works. Maybe Wii U is our only hope now? Thanks to Johnny4 for the heads up.

If COD is coming out for WiiU..why hide it and not confirm it now?..just to announce at it e3?..why!?

I would say as much as I enjoy playing CoD on Wii, makes more sense to make a WiiU version, seeing as it's easier to port from 360/PS3. Looking forward to playing CoD with the WiiUpad.

Many people cling to the hope that there is a mighty NDA that prevents companies to reveal their WiiU games, despite a handful of games having been announced or confirmed to have WiiU versions since E3, therefore not having any kind of NDA stopping them.
I honestly cannot see how hidding the existence of these already announced third party games could work in favor of nintendo, if they were working of wiiu.
I can expect a better number of multiplatform games getting WiiU versions than last gen, but Im not believing every game not announced for wiiu is just complying with some NDA.

Well, its good to see them copy paste forum code as well as game code and content. That sort of dedication is admirable.

to be fair, if I get my hopes and expectations low now, it will be easier to feel good about what comes out at e3, no matter how bad they 'nintendo' it.

What a humbug. I mean... BS.

They'll be a quick port of this [at the very latest by the end of Q1 '13]. ;)

@LegendofSantiago
I think it is better than thinking "oh they worded funny their 'No it isnt coming to wiiu', it obviously means it is coming!!!!" constantly. Im going to keep my line of thinking until nintendo proves I shouldnt. Its just one more month.

I'm hoping they're going to release it for Wii U, but even if Black Ops 2 doesn't come to Wii U, I'm positive that there will be a Call of Duty game on that system one day.

you will notice that there has been no new games officially announced/talked about for wii u since last e3. The only official, yet very limited, news we get about wii u games are from games that were announced then and there. Darksiders, AC3. Aliens, etc. So there is certainly an NDA, unless there has been no wii u game development since last e3. Which we already know is not true because of the Rayman leak.

And considering the foreign interview about BLOPS 2 from the other day, that highly hinted at a wii u version, and the new modes that would take advantage of the wii u tablet. I think it is pretty much a lock. And that every other game in development for the wii u that wasn't announced last e3 is under nda from being announced till this e3.

Also I think this wii forum thing was a slip up, and this is them obviously doing damage control. I still doubt there is a wii version, but that these forums will eventually be for wii u.

We're talking about a company that tried to "hide" pokemon B/W, from USA. When the JPN games where released a year ahead... There is no logic to Nintendo.

there is actually. you still think it's 1991. most of your customers don't own computers or even know what email is, their best source of information on you is a magazine you publish, and also your customers are mostly under the age of 13.

it all makes sense when viewed through that lens.

not saying their logic has any basis in reality, but there is a sort of internal logic at work over at NoA.
