RUMOR - Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition contents re

Postby MisterOpinionHead » 12 Jun 2012 16:07

This sucks if u already have these on vc. It would be cool if the collectiion included every GB, GBC, GBA, and SNES Kirby game ever made, including spinoffs, and was a downloadable collection for 3DS rather than a wii disc. Or if the wii disc included a voucher to get all the games on 3DS, too (minus any N64 and wii titles.)

To really make this desirable, they should have updated versions of some of the old games with new sprites and backgrounds, smoother control, a few new levels, etc. How about a sprite editor that lets us redesign and reassign sprites in the game, trade our custom re-skins online, etc? *That* would be exciting and worth a repurchase. As is, this collection sounds like it will require zero effort to make - which means it deserves zero dollars from those who already own the games.

@MisterOpinionHead

Reminds me of the RE6 collections coming to PS3 and 360 (vouchers for all the earlier games, as downloads).

It would be awesome if HAL (who I think is doing this, rather than Nintendo, who has no problem just porting nonsense) would update the games so it was somewhat like Super Mario All-Stars on SNES, where all the classic Marios had SNES graphics.

So instead of having Gameboy Dream Land games, we'd have Dream Land titles with the same graphics as Dream Land 3 or something along those lines.

That'd be awesome. And remixed music. But alas, that's in a perfect world.

I was hoping for Air Ride. How hard would that be? At least it's a LITTLE bit less lazy than the Mario collection.

I'm not even seeing how they're comparable.

The Mario collection was a rerelease of the SNES Super Mario All-Stars. Kirby never had anything like that, this is new.

"- Kirby Super Star"

Sold
Considering I've been playing Video Games since I was 3 years old, I'm still pretty terrible at them

I heard somewhere that the games would be remade via the K:RtD engine. Does anyone know if this is true?

I highly highly HIGHLY doubt it. There is almost no chance, haha

And this was confirmed, yes? If so its not a bad lineup. I do have all of those though aside from KDL2 and Super Star(and I already have KSSU) so I don't know if it would be worth a purchase, especially if KDL2 gets an NA VC release before the collection. I haven't finished many of these games though, so maybe I'll finally gat through most of them with the disc.

Hoping KDL and KDL2 have full color palettes, even if they just end up being the SGB colors... I dont wanna play those in black and white on my big hdtv. lol

Wait.

Super Star
Dreamland 3
Crystal Shards ???

this is actually most of what I hoped for ^^
My dream selection would have included the Amazing Mirror as well but you can't complain when you get 3/4 of what you're asking! And dreamland 2 is also good news since I don't actually own the game but loved it when I was a kid.

@Autosaver

Nope. I wanted Air Ride.

@Seroth

Little bit? More like a lot less lazy.

One SNES ROM vs. 1 NES game, 2 Gameboy games, 2 SNES games and an N64 game. One of those SNES games is a bunch of subgames.
