Coming from Capcom's Christian Svensson...

Ok, part one, I'm not aware of anyone from Capcom saying "wait for comic-con". Perhaps fan speculation. I will be more clear than I have ever been... Western MH fans should have some sort of information before the end of this calendar year. I can't say more than that unfortuntaely though I would love to.

There you go...a definitive answer from Capcom. We don't know what we'll hear, but it'll definitely be Monster Hunter related! Thanks to CdS for the heads up!

The announcement is that they will be skipping MH3G and going right to 4, which I will be completely happy with as that's what I wanted in the first place.

I definitely want both 3 G and 4, but seeing as how un-committed they are to MH in the West, it'll probably only be 4 that they bring over. I just find it frustrating that they choose to localize MH3 and MH4, both the smallest games in their respective generations (assuming 4th gen doesn't radically change their release strategy), and ignore 3 G - the second-largest and most-polished MH game in existence. I would love it if they released 3 G in the interim so we have something to play until 4 gets localized.
