I heard this when I watched it live but are they serious?, the Wii U has no audience since it's not out yet so how can it have a causal audience?, EA being EA like usual.

When did sports games, especially EA sports become "casual"?
Seriously if Wii and DS userbases are "casual", then who owned PS2s and PS1s.

Well I know lots of people that own a console just for fifa and COD, I consider those people casual players.
They are the same people that used to own a ps2 only to play PES.

M1 wrote:Funny because during the PS2 era we heard about much the PS2 was selling and how it was good for the industry from developers.
They called the PS2 the "mature" audience.
You are the first person I've seen to call PS2 owners "casual".
Remember the industry dogged the Gamecube for having the kiddy system and audience.

I don't agree. But define your version of HC, then!

During the PS2 era, it was the Gamecube that had its games dumbed down to fit the kiddy audience .
The "casual"/kiddy thing only applies to Nintendo, regardless of the actual userbase demographics.
