The Adventure of Link

You know them, and love them. If you want to talk Nintendo consoles/handhelds from the NES to Gamecube days, here is the perfect place. Virtual Boy welcome!

The Adventure of Link

First off, does anybody like this game? I personally love it a lot. I think it really put the whole franchise in the path to where it is now. I think this because it is the first game where you visit towns between temples. You talk to people to get answers on where to go next. You help people with little things to get on with your quest. The first LoZ kinda did stuff like this, like the part where that dude said "grumble grumble" and you had to get him food, but in "Link" it was more focused on stuff like that.

and secondly, read this http://gonintendo.com/?p=2126
I have played through this game (almost. I'm at the final boss and can't beat him). That guy says "I am Error" for a reason. IGN makes it seem like Nintendo went crazy for a second and just put that in there out of the blue. But, the reason he tells you that is because that is actually his name. As for why they picked the name Error, I think it is because you will remember reading that name later on in the game.

Spoiler Alert:

Spoiler:
Later on in the game, you find a house in the woods or something like that. The guy who lives in the house tells you to go find "Error" and get something from him.

End Spoiler

So, I don't know if IGN has even played through the whole game, or maybe they just don't remember. But, He is named Error for that reason.

Just lettin you guys know. 8)

Edit* Thanks Bjorna. I had no idea how to do that.

Definitely a fun game and challenging game. While I don't think it was the best in the series it was nice to see Nintendo completely change the look and gameplay of their cash cow. I had to work for my dad during spring break so he'd buy this game for me. I never finished it then and ended up selling it a few years later. But only a few weeks ago I found the GBA classics re-release in the bargain bin at circuit city, so I'll try to finally tackle it real soon.

The error thing is a interesting thing, perhaps IGN didn't have any quotes to put in that place? :P

I played the game, but on a emulator. It where quite fun game. I thought it where interesting that you could choose to battle or not on the owerworld.
