i was probably about 4 or 5 and my older brother was trying to show me how to play but i help the gun right up to the screen and he called me a cheater. i didnt play my next game for another few years, it was an n64 game...i wanna say starfox but im not sure. i was amazed by the n64 as a child

The first three games I ever remember playing in some order were Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Street Fighter 2, and Pokemon Yellow. So all classics that people still talk about today.

After that I'm pretty sure it was Rayman 2.

The first games I ever played that I consciously thought of as my favourites were Super Smash Bros. Melee and Star Wars Battlefront 2. I had played more video games by this point.

I'm pretty sure I haven't already posted on this thread, so here goes.

For me, it was either Pac Man or Dig Dug, but both were the first games I ever played, or even remember. I also vaguely remember seeing Centipede in the arcade.

My First system, and thus first extensive play with a video game, was an Atari 2600 a cousin gave me, which had Combat, Asteroid (not to be confused with Asteroids), and Space Invaders (which was far too hard for me to play at that age).

Beyond that, some of the earliest games I remember playing in the arcade were Road Blasters, Rolling Thunder, Pole Position, TMNT, and eventually SFII, among many others.

Of course, the first system and game that I really fell in love with/became obsessed about, was my NES, and Super Mario Bros.

The original Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I was 5 at the time when I got this game and a NES as presents.

Now you know how I became a gamer forever. =P

That would be Magic Pocket on the Amiga [around the time the NES was out heree in Europe].

My first console game was Sonic 1, though [and I got Ristar, and a SNES with DKC1 and SMW: Yoshi's Island with it too - it was a big present for me and my older bro].

The first game I ever played was Mario Kart 64, and it's the fondest game memory I've ever had. I still tear up whenever I try to go back and play it.

Now I own every single Mario game and soundtrack including imports. Funny how things turn out.
