Bad news Podcast Crew!

If you're reading this, I'm already away for the summer working at camp for all of June and July, but I'll be sure to catch up on the 2 months of backlogged podcasts to hear the answer to this question:

As I'm sure you've figured out by now, I'm a huge fan of Futurama. For those on the crew who are familiar with this awesome show, what is your favorite or most memorable episode?

For me, the answer has to be Jurassic Bark. The ending is one of the saddest things I've ever seen on television and it brings me to tears every time. And while I'm grateful to have a summer job, I'm sorely disappointed that I'll be missing out on the first few new episodes this season as well as E3 and all the crazyness that surrounds it. Try to survive without me for a couple months and have a fabulous summer.

You know what they say, women are from Omicron Persei 7, men are from Omicron Persei 9.

As you were,

Hellooooooo GoNintendo Podcast crew! Ready for more questioms? I HAVE SOME FOR YOU!

1) QUICK!! If Sakurai for some reason decided to put you... YES, YOU!... in the next Smash Brothers, and he let you design your very own FINAL SMASH, what would it be?

2) On a more serious note, let's talk about a Nintendo franchise that has gotten very little attention this past decade or so. Considering Nintendo's recent reboot of Kid Icarus in Kid Icarus: Uprising, which deviated completely from the franchise's previous installments, I would like to know if you guys think Nintendo will ever do the same with Ice Climber, and if so, what type of game would you want Ice Climber 2 to be? For some strange reason, I'd really like an Ice Climber survival-horror game on the top of a mountain with infected polar bears and zombie abominable snowmen! Yeah, it's weird, but I think Nintendo could make it work. Kids? Stranded on a mountain? Sounds too perfect of a chance!

Anyways, thanks for the time guys. Keep up with the amazing podcast, and remember to play my music in the music section!

Hey Podcast Crew! I've been listening to the show for the past couple months and I really enjoy it! I like you all but Mom Brain is my favorite podcast member...So i'd just like to say, Hi Mom Brain! thanks for reading the Pokedex each week, you turn something that should be incredibly boring into something fun and exciting to listen to.

so anyways here is my questum

Do you think in the future we will no longer have discs, cards, and cartridges and that everything will be download only?

I ask this question because I love seeing my massive collection of video games that I've collected over the past two decades and if we ever get to a point where games are download only that takes away from the fun of collecting games. Seeing a hundred games on a menu screen is no where near as satisfying as seeing a hundred game cases on a shelf.
Does it bring satisfaction to you guys look at your huge game collection? Will it bother you if in the future games are all download only?

Seeing that New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be downloadable and retail has been making me think about this a lot lately.

Thanks Podcast Crew! and have a safe trip to E3 Rawmeat

Well, E3 has come and gone, and I'm sure by this point RMC has shared his thoughts, good and bad. So I will ask the crew something completely unrelated:
If you could team up with one developer to make ANY game you wanted, what would it be? A classic Mario-esque platformer? An epic RPG? Or perhaps an eclectic title such as Bobby Carrot Forever?
Thanks again for an awesome podcast! You guys always go above and beyond the Call of Duty, bro. Yeah, I'm done with that.

Dear Podcast crew,

Long time listener first time poster.

I'm excited for the Wii U and I intend on getting one on launch day. However, I don't feel this E3 before the Wii U launch generated the same excitement that E3 2006 generated for the Wii before it's launch. So I don't think we'll get the same difficulty of finding the Wii U in store as was the case with the Wii.

Rawmeat Cowboy, having being in E3 do you think this is case? Were people there really excited about the Wii U after testing it? Do you think it will be hard finding a Wii U during the holiday season?

Keep up the good work GoNintendo team!

Hey guys, hope you had fun at E3; I know I missed it, because I had errands to run for someone, and apparently when I finally got home by evening, my internet didn't work for several hours. Eh, people just try to tell me how horrible it was despite everything good that came out of it... oh well. Also, sorry for the hard podcast music sometimes, although I was glad to hear how much RMC liked Time Lord(because I thought it was a pretty obscure game), and I was thrilled to hear RMC correctly guess the game Dick Tracey.

Anyway, I was going to ask how much into the Harvest Moon games you are, and if so, which games you started with, and which one is your favorite. But since I started my own garden this year for the first time since I was a kid, I also want to ask if anyone on the podcast crew has ever tried to start a garden in real life? I have to say there are times when I unintentionally start to hear the music in my head while watering my plants, and there are times when I start to mentally plan out what I need to do for my garden the same way I would when playing the game! Well anyway, hope you recover from E3 soon, later!

Hey Podcast crew. MasterE (pronounce it like Mastery) sending you guys a message. I'm one of those people who loves listening to podcasts in the background while doing other stuff. I love listening to shows such this one but I never bothered to interact with with any of the people involved. Apparently that changes today because I'm sending you my first podcast question ever right now!

A lot of people were really down on Nintendo's conference. Besides Pikmin and some of the news from Sunday nothing from Nintendo impressed me at all. I usually love Nintendo's press confrences but this year I actually found Ubisoft's the best.

So I was wondering two things...
What is one thing should Nintendo have changed to its announcements to help it "win E3?"
What surprised you the most this year?

Thanks so much guys for the great show keep it up.

i can see just fine. 8)

quick comment, i hope you're not still using that recording app that makes the quite parts loud thing.. it's actually more of a distraction than anything else. any listeners agree? i will say it is sad when we can't hear what someone is saying but another solution perhaps?

also, you guys were beating up on duex once and i actually felt kinda bad for the wanker! don't put him down on his illogical reasoning, you just gotta let duex be duex and do the dew. on that note, mt. dew is gross.

QUESTION! how are you's guys?

P.S. can ya please make time for more questyums?

Hey Go Nintendo peeps!

I was just wondering if you guys know much about Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright or Ace Attorney 5?
Oh, and one more thing, is the TWEWY cameo in Kingdom hearts 3D suggestive of a TWEWY sequel?

Cheers, Chaos L OUT!

Good Morrow Podcast Crew,

Your Tyrannical Moderator KingBroly here with a spear to your forehead, forcing you to answer these questions three. Okay, it's not three, but it had to rhyme. Anyway, answer the question...NOW!

With the increased presence Nintendo is hoping to achieve in the digital space with Wii U and 3DS, do you, RawMeatCowboy, expect to start receiving review codes instead of retail copies for their games in the future, at least for some games?

With that, I must now join my people in the slaughtering of many pigs. So. Much. OINKING!

Hey podcasters,

I'm back to ask for some clarifications about references or phrases made on the podcast that I've either missed or can't find explanations for online (like I did for the Trail of Tears or GemScan). if you don't know what I'm talking about, just assume I'm crazy.

What is the phrase, "I'm six hundred", from? (Usually said before a music section)

You guys haven't said this one in a while, but when someone says anything that sounds like, "Maze" (Maize, May's, etc.), it's followed by a brief pause and a satisfying moan. It was tough searching for this one online.

Thanks, and have a super happy fun time,

YO CREW. Tis The Stickman here with his third set of wonderful questions for you's guyses.

First up, what's your favourite British export? It can be anything you want, TV, Film, Games, Food, Teeth, WHATEVER. As a Brit myself I'm very much interested to hear it.

Secondly, what's your stance on the Batman/Bane voices in The Dark Knight Rises? Presuming by the time this question is read out it'll be out on DVD. I expect to hear impressions of both, this will please my butt.

That'll do it for now. Lots of love. Mwah.

Re: GoNintendo Podcast Questions

Postby Battlestriker123 » 02 Aug 2012 22:39

Heya podcast crewwww!!! I heard you guys like it hard, so here's a couple of hard questions for you guys!

1. QUICK! IF YOU WERE ABLE TO GO ON A DATE WITH ANY VIDEO GAME CHARACTER, WHO WOULD IT BE?

2. On a more serious note, a rumor was floating around a couple of weeks (or months, depending on when you read this) ago about Nintendo "purchasing" the rights to Banjo-Kazooie from RARE and Microsoft, and I think many people would agree that Banjo-Kazooie is a very "Nintendo" franchise. So my question is this: what other franchises feel very "Nintendo" to you, and would you want Nintendo to purchase the rights and create a new game for them? I really want Nintendo to purchase the rights to Ape Escape and finally make a proper Ape Escape 4; Sony obviously has no interest in the franchise, and with Ape Escape being 12th best-selling video game franchise of all time, I have a hard time thinking what Nintendo would lose here!

That's it for questions! Thanks for the time guys! And be nicer to Deux! Love the podcast :)

Good news, Podcast Crew!

Rhyno's here with a spanking new question to tickle your whistle and wet your fancy. And yes, I mean that in the most sexual way possible.

Club Nintendo has been improving its selection of goodies as of late with the addition of downloadable games in exchange for coins. I'm aware that you aren't a part of the service, RMC. But if you could have whatever reward you could think of, what would it be?

I wouldn't mind some sort of exchange rate system where I could swap coins for eShop cash. What better way to spend your points earned buying games than by buying more games.

It's like a party in my mouth and everyone's throwing up.

As you were

Jack in MEGAMAN!! Hey there podcast crew, I'm so glad you always welcome destruction at your door. (Only Lorleen can tell you what that means) Anywho on to some questions

1. Give me an anime update. What anime are you guys watching?

2. I don't know if you've ever had this question. but if you could have 1 weapon from any game, what would it be?

And I got 1 anime quote this time, but it's one of my all time favorites, it was hard picking who would be the badguy. I was stuck between Lube, Nintenho, and Pachter. Read through it and you'll see why anyone of them would have been hilarious...

Pachter: As long as I have this, I can talk and experience strong emotions with no trouble

RMC: So, then the expert on games that Lube mentioned...

Pachter: That was me! (with an innocent smile)

RMC: And the culprit that was behind the monster attack yesterday...

Pachter: That was also me!

RMC: And the reason JTS missed the rocket launching and the 200th show...

Pachter: That was me

RMC: N-No way...This morning we ran out of toilet paper because...

Pachter: That was me

RMC: And the reason summer is hot...

Pachter: that was me

RMC: I-Impossible...

RMC: And the reason Deux didn't pause Cone Heads...

Pachter: That was me

RMC: The reason MomBrain's farts smell like death...

Pachter:That was me

RMC: And the sorrowful times we live in...

Pachter: Heh. It's all because of me...

( MS. Chris and Ayuma from Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? of the Dead) You would love this show too much...

Anywho, until next time podcasters. Jack out MEGAMAN!!

Hey guys long time listener since about episode 150  first time poster.I ride my bike on a trail for about 1 hour a day and listen to your podcasts and sometimes  get weird looks from people when I randomly start laughing from a funny part of your podcast. Ok, first question. Since its the Olympics time of year, do you guys watch any events, and if so, which ones are your favorites? I watch volleyball ( women's of course is hard to concentrate on the ball) gymnastics, track and field, basketball and a few others. 2nd question, have any of you played arkham city or arkham asylum? Ive beat arkham asylum and recently picked up arkham city.  And for my last question, what are some good Xbox 360 games that you guys enjoyed? Thats all for now, hopefully I'll be  back with more questions. P.s. Lube and Rawmeat are the best.

Hey Podcasters!

But enough idle chit-chat.

Sorry guys, but I can't remember any more references or phrases that you guys say that I need to ask about, even though I know for sure that there is one more that I've been meaning to ask. Forgive me, but I think it's because I just haven't been listening as religiously as I used to because I've gotten a bit busier in the last five years. It's always weird to catch up on a few weeks of podcasts and with a few exceptions, not recognize the new generation of question and music submitters. Where's Alvin_Rod? Where's Garfitor?

But enough idle chit-chat.

Where's Vitamin G and Nintenho? They were both on podcasts this past year and it was great to see/hear them again. How was Vitamin G able to be on some podcasts and how did you convince Nintenho to actually do one? Could it happen again? For that matter, when is Nicky coming back?

Thanks guys and if any of you ever left, I'd be asking the same questions about you,

Just a couple questions that i had rollin around in my head for a while, but better layton never! Do you think that Nintendo will release multiple iterations of the game pad like xl, hd, or multi touch and why?
Also, which retailer has the best midnight experience party for a console's launch? I definitely want to get my hands on the wii u at midnight, but have no idea where to get it for that reason. Any suggestions based on past experiences?
Thanks, love the podcast, but I'm not gonna raichu a love song.

Good Morrow Podcast Crew,

Your Deliciously Huggable Moderator here with another question or eight for you to answer before the fall season of space madness begins. You may not know about such a thing, but back when I was conquering the Universe in the year 8-47 (you short-lived life forms are spared the details of creation) I had many followers succumb to the weary of war and strife, forcing them to cannibalism and cannonizing others for humorous sport. Trust me when I say that it is indeed as humorous as it sounds. I would continue, but that is best saved for my book, "Tales of the Unknown Creation," a 48,000 page novelization of my entire life, 1 page for every year I lived. It shall be glorious.

Oh right, a question to ask. I shouldn't have rambled about my prolonged life. It will get people wondering. Anyway, Dost though know any other languages or tongues? I, for instance know 8,000 different languages, most of which are extinct. But, I digress.

I look forward to thine reply.

What are your favorite remixes from videogame soundtracks? I love many remixes out there and one of my favorite places to check them is Dwelling of Duels. Probably from the official ones are the Megaman Zero Remastered Albums.

Hey podcast crew. You guys are awesome. Now onto my 2 questions: What are your thoughts when it comes to the Family Guy vs. South Park arguement. Which do you prefer if any? I like FG more which according to some makes me an idiot. RMC how many of your games do you get for free? When you do get them do you feel like you have to review it? Thanks and Steel Diver is still the greatest game of all time.
