Hey podcast crew,

First time question-asker here, with my first time question asker's first time question.
I was wondering what you think of the trailers/other marketing stuff the big N has put out for skyward sword. I ask because I'm a bit worried about the progress of the game based on what they've shown us. Almost everything we know about the game revolves around combat- and combat is not the reason I cite Zelda as the greatest game series of all time. Do you think nintendo's putting too much emphasis on combat and not enough on characters, plot, and design?

Now we all know that Mr.Meats doesn't like many turn-based RPGs, so I can understand why he didn't finish Dragon Quest IX, but is any one willing to play what many sites considered DS game of the year. I guess the real Dragon Question (*bites lip*) is when is every gonna stop thinking "oh yea Dragon Quest it's that game that Japan implodes for" and never once consider playing it.

Holy crap, I actually finally caught the thread open before a show! Well now I have to actually think of a questiom to ask you!

Anyway, just in case you forget who I am, I recently saw some of you at VGL in NJ. I met RMC and Nicky Hill for the second time, and met Mom Brain and Stranger, which was awesome. As I've said before you guys are just as nice, welcoming and easy to talk to in person as you sound in the show, if not more so. Just sent in my first music to Nicky Hill too, and I'll definitely be sending in more soon. Anyway, on to a couple questioms (or is it questiums?)

1. When I saw you guys at VGL, RMC expressed some interest in maybe going to the VGL at the Tiles Center in Brookville on Jan. 29th. I'll be there and just wondering if any of you were going?

2. Well I didn't want the first Q to be the only one, as most people send in more fun/random ones, so here's one I just thought up: If you had to pick one game from 2010 that you liked and/or appreciated to just disappear, or that you'd have to give away, which would it be. I guess try to constrict any answers to games on Nintendo platforms, so Wii/DS. I realize this is probably a hard one, especially for those who haven't gotten to play many games that came out this year (RMC, looking at you!), so just say whatever any of you can think of.
Or as an alternative, just say the biggest gaming disappointment of 2010, but I can't remember whether you've been asked that already.

And yeah I'm sure that whole thing sounded random/written on the spot, that's cause it was! Didn't expect the thread to be open this close to the next ep.

Hey, did anyone aside from RMC finish Super Mario Galaxy 2? I seem to remember a lot of talk about it for a brief period of time, and then nothing at all. What did everyone think of it in retrospect?

RMC, you occasionally mention that you were in detention semi-frequently as a kid. How did this happen? It sounds awesome.

Is it possible for the Deux's Views entries on the now-defunct Deux's View site to be posted somewhere? It'd be awesome to see a proper return, but under the circumstances, it'd be cool just to see all the past entries.

1 - From here on out, I decree that all "Iwata Asks" features be called "Iwata Laughs"

2 - I decree that this show can not continue until RMC makes a promise, verbally, and in writing, that Sprite Rippers will make a return this year. No "yea maybe", no "What? Next Question!", none of that - I want RMC to sign a contract and post a picture of the contract on the site.

Questiom the Second (And Final): What are your favorite modern-gen 2D platformers? It's my favorite genre, and I'm sure you guys have some really good reccomendations.

Good day to you, podfolk! It's been a long time, but finally I am able to ask more questions. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin:

1. I wanted to ask this before I pre-ordered a 3DS, but the thread was locked. (insert moan here...) Which colour 3DS do you prefer, blue or black? In the end I pre-ordered a blue one. I was worried from pictures that it looked kind of cheap, but having seen one for real today (but sadly not been able to play it) I can say that was definitely the right choice - so SHINY!

2. Have you ever been beaten at a game by someone who has never played it before? Having trained up my Pokemon HeartGold team for over 100 hours I had a battle against my Mum (using my sister's SoulSilver) and I lost! She's never played Pokemon before, or really any other game for that matter. When she tried Donkey Kong on the NES she ended up losing before she'd even picked the controller up!

The Legend of Zelda recently celebrated its 25th birthday. It's come a long way since the days of "It's dangerous to go alone. Take this." Where do you see the series going with Skyward Sword and beyond? What would you like to see, but know would never happen?

Personally, I love the formula, so I wouldn't want things to stray too far away from the norm. But any innovation would be welcome in my book.

I Recently had the chance to go to SUPER-FANTASTIC-MEGA-SUPER-ULTRA-(more and more adjectives for super awesome things) Pokémon Black and White Mall tour in Arcadia California!

And like oh ma cheese was it awesome! there was soo many cos-players fancied like gyms leaders,main characters and rivals. At the eventy you could watch the new zoroark movie in a giant theater. play a little demo of the game, go for a stamp rally to spin a prize wheel(long lines) and mostly to talk to others bout the games,trade and battle. I had tons of fun met a lot of chill people.

So my actual questinum! Would you guys want to see more of these events for many different game launches that aren't only held in the NYC Nintendo World store. Such as a Zelda (skyward sword) tour where you can play the game play Phantom hourglass and spirit tack multiplayer. and buy exclusive merch. or a Mario Kart 3DS tour play the mutiplayer with other people. play Mario kart DS and wii. I would love the welcome to more of these tours and hope the do more and even spread out to more citys.


Well podcast crew if this gets read before the release of Pokémon black and white i will be camping out at target waiting to get my copy's ( i always get both to catch em all) or if the games been out for weeks I'll have more then 100 dumped in to the games. YOUR Intercontinental Champion, jasonmaivia, is here to ask you a few questions that's been buggin' me for a long time.

It may not be important for most listeners and viewers, but I still want to know...

1) What are your favorite and least favorite wrestling games and wrestling game moments?

I've been a fan of WWF No Mercy, WWE Day of Reckoning 2, and the Fire Pro Wrestling series for a loooong time, but it seem that the Smackdown Vs. Raw series just aren't cuttin' it for me. For every new feature they change or add, they remove 5 others. Unfortunately, it's become the only wrestling game series that gets regularly updated. But as long as I can keep creating Rainbow Mika Nanakawa every year, I'm not going to totally hate playing them.

2) Didja play Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love?

It's become one of my favorite games on the Wii. I don't know how well it's done, but I really hope the next in the series makes its way stateside.

3) Put your minds together, and rank all of Nintendo's home consoles in order from least favorite to favorite, and explain what made one system better or worse than the others.

Hey there!

Does anyone on the podcast crew have one certain game they'll never give up or sell? I'll always hang onto my copy of Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64. Whenever life is giving me problems, I'll pop in the game and play like I used to back when I was a kid; when there were no worries in life. It's fantastic to experience the nostalgia every once in a while.

Hey GN crew, it's Tuesday and the tread has been open for 9 days straight weird huh, but noone is asking questions...Anyway I'll try to be more clear since last time. So here they are

1. This is for Nicky Hill, when someone sends in music how long do you keep it before you decide not to use it? or when you say send it in bulk do you only choose 1 or save some for later? should we send it in again for the next week for a better chance or you've decided to never use it?( if he is not there please save this for when he comes back)

2. Do you think Nintendo is overplaying the 3D and under playing the fact that the 3DS is actually a successor the DS and not a member of the DS family? I see way too many people say *in the voice the guys use to make fun of people*: "I'm not getting it because I don't care about 3D, or I can't see 3D, or a clueless parent saying oh! my kid is not supposed to use the 3D what's the point of getting it" Isn't it a gbc to ds leap in advancement because the ds (bless its little heart) isn't exactly a graphics powerhouse and the 3DS wields console level graphics...

And finally,
3. A more lighthearted question, what video GAME character would you want to be have as a lover? I know this has probably been asked before but here's the twist I want to know both opposite and same gender partner you would choose for female I'd go with Juri from street fighter(wink) and for male I'd pick Tensa Zangetsu from the Bleach games, how can anything with a wenis besides me be so hot...
