I have a few quickly thought of suggestions...

While this one might not be the most upbeat song to extract a thrilling thirty seconds from, I think it could make for a very amusing choice:


(the usable part, I think, runs from the 40 sec mark to about the 1:25 mark)

While this one is a little more upbeat, perhaps it's not enough so? Even still, I think it'd make for a pretty fun choice:

And how about a truly groovin' song, instantly recognizable but often overlooked:

one thing to remember--and i need to update the OP--the song needs ENERGY. just being a good or catchy song isn't enough.

go visit the podcast archives (which needs some updating on the wiki, wink wink) and listen to a song from each year to listen to what's been used before so you can get an idea for the kind of things RMC uses.

Mr. Driller Drill Land's Intro theme is fantastic. This may be a little bit biased, I sent it in as music

that second cave story track is great! rmc and/or i should ask our buddy tyrone at nicalis about the updated music for the wiiware release.. would be kind of a cool exclusive (at least for a little while)!
