What I'm liking so much about Best Wishes are the battles, they look really amazing and fun, and currently in the raw episodes there is a tournament for fighting-types.

Everything just got super predictable after Johto, IMO. I tried watching again recently and the voices are weird and the jokes are retarded (they used to make me laugh out loud, even as an adult, and I'm not one of those people who laughs at everything). The opening themes just keep getting worse and worse, too. On top of that, it just seems less involved and emotional? Maybe I'm nostalgic and I'm not giving it enough of a chance, idk.

I hate seeing Ash, still ten and still not a great trainer even after traveling across so many regions, spending time with people who just seem like shallow replacements for Misty and Brock. It's just not the same anymore.

Of course, so long as the games are still coming out and loved, they can't just stop the anime. My only hope for it anymore is that Ash will finally meet Ho-Oh in the final episode and that they don't forget what things were like at the very beginning.

Ever since Charmander evolved and turned into a jerk it was all downhill from there.

Charmeleon wasn't a jerk. Ash was at the time. Ash tried to force Charmeleon to battle a weak Paras and to go easy on it. Charmeleon didn't want to battle and Ash lost it's respect in the process. It wasn't until late in the Orange Islands arc when Ash risked his own health to save Charizard's life by keeping it's tail flame from going out, Ash got Charizard's respect back.

This whole sequence plays to the main game series when you can lose your Pokemon's respect by either being a jerk and/or not proving yourself in battle.

While it might have been repetitive(and my god I mean extremely repetitive) it was still fun to watch ash and co. wander around and meet new and exciting pokemon. I personally feel that they milked the franchise to much and then changed the anime altogether to appeal to a newer crowd. In the end though pokemon still manages to be just as repetitive but it just sucks more.

As I grew older, I never had time to watch Pokemon in the mornings. On weekdays, I'm leaving out the door for school when Pokemon is in the middle of an episode, and I oversleep on Saturdays.
I got back into the show when they made the move to Cartoon Network, but then I started missing shows. So, I lost interest.

Nowadays, I only catch a show if I work up early enough (accidentally), of on nights where I have nothing to do the next day (I stay up overnight), which is still by accident.
