http://www.isidewith.com/results/108864374 Makes sense, I side with the fringe candidates, followed by Obama, with Mittens way back in dead last.

I'm reminded of that old Simpsons Tree House of Horror where the candidates, Clinton & Dole, are replaced by space alien doppelgangers. Upon this being discovered someone in the crowd says, "We'll just vote for a third party candidate!", to which one of the aliens reply's, "Go ahead, throw your vote away.".

Even though we all know better, we still vote against our interests, not to elect someone, but to stop someone else from being elected, even though both mainstream candidates are mostly bought & paid for. This is why the parties work harder to make you fear the other side more then trying to sell you on their own virtues.

Hate to break it to you "Megashock", but I've been here quite a long time, get along with the mods quite well, and except for a few charming personalities like yourself and Hamr, I get along with the vast majority of the Go Nintendo community as well. You're taking your perception and experience of my postings here, from a ridiculous argument YOU started (by the way), over whether or not Killer Instinct was or wasn't a good game. And I do believe it was YOU, as a matter of fact, who were the one being insulting and immature in that conversation, refusing to even acknowledge how or why any of the rest of us could POSSIBLY see Killer Instinct as a good or even great game. It was YOU, in point of fact, that laid out the immature insults to me and others on there for disagreeing with you, and it was YOU, as it turns out, who clearly didn't understand the concept of "disagreement of opinion".

So don't sit there and act like you know what kind of a person I am, based on one exchange in one stupid thread. Furthermore, don't profess to know what kind of a person I am based on posts in a video game forum whatsoever, because if you're as smart as you try to act, then you'd realize that's pretty silly to do in the first place.

I can and will call someone a "moron", when they use a term like "Obamacare" in an incredibly mocking and negative manner, with the implication of that term being that it is "horrible, harmful SOCIALISM that is going to destroy our country", when the actual healthcare bill they passed couldn't be farther from what they claim it is in their rampant hyperbole. So yes, anyone who willingly remains THAT ignorant and blind, and willfully spouts off at the mouth about the SOCIALIST Obama, and how now because of him people are getting "free rides" medically speaking, when that again, couldn't be farther from the truth, has to be assumed to be a moron. Just the same as those who STILL insist that he wasn't born in the United States, and thus isn't a "legitimate president", and that somehow this is all part of some BIGGER CONSPIRACY by a sinister "New World Order" to undermine the U.S. and make us weak on the world stage. People who willingly and knowingly sit around with their tin-foil hats and spout off garbage like that, when all the facts are readily available in this grand information age of ours, are, yes, morons, and deserve to be called so.

I did not, in fact, call anyone HERE specifically, a moron. So you do not need to tell me to "watch it", when I've been around here and posting, and TALKING to said mods, much longer than you have.

So with that in mind, why not save yourself the time and effort, and put my comments on "IGNORE", as I have with you. Just click the "Add Foe" button, and BAM, you don't have to see me or my unsavory posts anymore. I tried to suggest the same thing to Hamr on more than one occasion, but surprise surprise, he still persists in following my posts and replying, regardless.

Oh....and on one final note, a bit of advice. If you're going to go through the trouble, to point out to me something I was already well aware of, that there happens to be *GASP* mods on this thread, then you might want to take your own advice and "WATCH IT".

Because statements like these? "Man, you are one obnoxious little twerp. You and your douchebag attitude should take a hike." THEY are the types of comments that typically get people banned over time, and to tell you the truth, considering that, once again, you are personally insulting me, which is a BIG no-no here at Go Nintendo, I should officially report your post to the mods. But I'm not going to this time. I understand that you're probably some young kid who wants to look "cool" and talk "tough", but that's not going to win you many friends. So with that in mind, the next time that you want to come on here and call someone things like an "obnoxious twerp", a "douchebag",, or claim that I suffer from "mental un-health", or even better, than I am apparently the victim of "ignorant tantrums", you might want to think twice about it. In fact I highly suggest you take my advice and just ignore my posts from now on, because it is specifically those kinds of outbursts and comments that you made, directed at me, that can and will, again in your own words, get the mods to "cut you at will".

Have a nice day.

Even though you may know GoNintendo staff, and get along GoNintendo staff, it does not mean the rules are bent for you or anyone else.

I'm not old enough to vote so it does not really matter but: http://www.isidewith.com/results/110471942 I got Jill Stein but unless you vote for either of the two major parties your vote is useless.

A fact I've always been aware of. But I'm also not the one levying personal insults at someone for no visible reason at all.

But I digress. Back to the topic at hand. Politics. 8)

I have no idea who any of them are and obviously won't vote for any due to not being a US citizen/not living in the US, but eh whatever.

But I voted that the US should have some form of healthcare like in the UK and that they should probably allow just about anything. I also don't care for gun control, if only because its so ingrained into US culture that I suspect trying to do anything would probably result in either some kind of civil war, a black market/more crime or whatever happened when they tried to introduce prohibition all those years back. If something's allowed, best not to ban it if you want the country to stay in one piece.

I also said I was pro science, but to some extent that's more that I don't really get how anyone can honestly disbelieve evolution or global warming. Maybe its a cultural thing over there, who knows.

No, it's not a cultural thing. It's just a small, but incredibly vocal, sect of typically uber-religious folks scattered across the country, who seem to have this mentality that "RELIGION GOOD, SO SCIENCE BAD". It's really sad, actually. Spiritual belief and scientific study are not, nor do they have to be, mutually exclusive. But these people don't realize that, or even want to hear it. And as it turns out, the United States seems to be the only "first world country" in which a significant portion of it's population (meaning large enough to notice), DIS-believing in things like evolution and global warming/climate change, is even an issue. That, to me, is both sad, and kind of scary.

I don't think anyone doesn't believe in climate change. The question is if it's caused by people, or if like in the past it's just a natural cycle. It's been warmer in the past & it's been cooler in the past, long before people were burning fossil fuels. I also read somewhere that the temperatures on the other planets in our solar system are climbing at the same rate as ours, meaning that our climate change may be caused by an increase in solar activity.
But whatever.

I see your point, but I'm sad to say I have literally talked with people in the recent past who still absolutely disbelieve that climate change is even happening. And they write it off as "liberal conspiracy". Unfortunate, but true.

Well those people are ignorant if they refuse to acknowledge that there has been a climate change. The part about a "liberal conspiracy" I take a bit of issue with. I'm not saying I believe this, but it's worth considering that things like carbon taxes, and subsidized green initiatives etc could be a way to funnel money, much like the same way that contracts were given to certain companies in Iraq at hugely inflated prices. I wouldn't call it a "liberal conspiracy", because if it has been engineered, it was engineered at a level higher then either of the two parties. I'm not saying this is what happened, but it's worth considering before calling people tinfoil hat wearing kooks.

I have to say that a lot of 'green' measures are kind of poorly thought out, and seem like they don't really help anything or just make everything far less conveniant. Or just don't really help the environment that much at all.

You are of course free to call people whatever names you want just for disagreeing with you, same as I am free to say that that name-calling is silly because politics ultimately needs less negative attacks and tit-for-tat partisan pettiness.

"with the implication of that term being that it is "horrible, harmful SOCIALISM that is going to destroy our country"

The term implies no such thing. The implication is that it is Obama's healthcare legislation -- and it is. A less neutral designation would be if people threw in one of the various colorful names for the President that detractors use, like 'Obozocare' or 'Obummercare'.

"Just click the "Add Foe" button, and BAM, you don't have to see me or my unsavory posts anymore. I tried to suggest the same thing to Hamr on more than one occasion"

Sticks and stones -- I have no intentions of blocking your posts or those of anyone else.

"but surprise surprise, he still persists in following my posts and replying, regardless."

You must be confusing me for someone else. Outside of this thread you and I have interacted a grand total of once in the entire last half-year.

No big surprises there... Aside from the fact that my state even agrees with me that much.

However, it must be noted that with economy and foreign policies I don't really have strong opinions either way. Aside from the fact that I just don't like war, and I disagree with the Republicans' attitude that rich people all worked for their money, while the poor are all that way because they choose not to work hard. It's just too black/white. And black/white doesn't usually work for real life situations. Especially not this one.

I feel most strongly on social and science issues. The Republicans almost completely disagree with me in those.

Interesting. Not a US citizen, anyway, but if I were I would vote either Democrat or Libertarian. Apparently Democrat, according to this.

You guys, get this survey to every US citizen you know. It's simple, unbiased and very, very informative. Seriously, this is the kind of stuff we need for better elections, all around the world. Now I wanna do something like this in my country.

I did the test... I must say, after seeing with who I side with on GoNintendo (The actual candidates, I wasn't surprised at all), I'm quite surprised!!

Some guys I like very much what they post, I ended up with a very low score, and some that I seldom agree with about video games have some of the best scores with me.
This shows that you can't make your mind about somebody without seeing EVERY facet of him/her. :O

I'm Canadian, and I know the election was ages ago, but I took the quiz anyway. Not surprised at all by the candidate I side with. I am a little surprised with siding most with the American Green Party, since I'm pretty sure my views are not in line with the Canadian Green Party on most things.
