I'm not getting it. I saw the preview in Nintendo Power, didn't interest me. I did view the feedback for the news article about the Wii version not getting online. That was worth a couple chuckles.

I'm voting no, but I'm also saying yes; in other words, it's not a game I will desperately purchase and make efforts to afford, but I'm glad they're bringing it back, and if it's good enough, I want to see others getting it and liking it too so their efforts aren't wasted.

...but in the end, it's a sports game, and while I don't HATE sports games, they're by nature very repetitive, environments are nearly identical for gameplay purposes, and they almost require live, local multiplayer to be fun, and I almost never have that. So at best it'd be a game to pop in now and then and have a little fun with, which wouldn't be something I'd pay a whole lot for really...

I won't be getting it because there's no online multiplayer on Wii. It's probably the most idiotic move from EA this entire generation.

I won't buy it but I may rent it at some point. I mean with most sports games they come in a yearly installment after all.

There'll be another NBA Jam down the road.

I loved NBA Jam when I first played it at an arcade. I didn't even know anything about it, but me and my brother played it for a long time and had a lot of fun with it. As for the Wii version, I doubt it. It just doesn't look like it will be as good. We will see I guess. Maybe I'll get it for my PS3 instead.

No interest whatsoever. I echo the other people in this thread who've expressed disinterest in sports games. And basketball isn't a sport I know much about at all anyway. It isn't particularly popular here in Britain.

I didn't think I'd care about the potential lack of online, but now that it's a cemented fact my interest is waning rapidly.

I'll definitely pick it up when it drops in price though, maybe I'll rent a game for once!

I'd actually get it, personally. I grew up playing Jam and Hangtime. But I'm a bit strapped for cash. If and when I can afford it, I'll probably get it though. So there.

First thing's first; I simply don't care for sports games, no matter how fun they might be. The setting just doesn't grab my attention.

Second, I played and remember fondly NBA Jam for the Sega Genesis. The new game is something I want to be interested in. But I'm simply not. Not for retail price anyway.

I'd check it out if it was WiiWare, because the price barrier is so low. But I understand the game is offering more than WiiWare can accommodate.

Hopefully your opinion isn't shaped by the fact that the game is 2D. I've been reading a lot of comments this generation, about certain gamers not feeling like a 2D game like Wario Land, or Muramasa, or A Boy and His Blob, or even NSMBWii, "not being worth retail price". Like, if a game isn't 3D now, it's not worth paying retail money for.

I highly disagree. Games like Muramasa and NSMBWii especially, are so good, to me, that I'd much rather pay $50 for them, than for a vast majority of the 3D games that come out now.

They're getting a stripped down version of the game without most of the extra modes, and it's only for free if you buy NBA Live.
