I wish I had more time to follow movies. I've had so many other things going on in my life that I haven't been able to keep up. Plus, it's so much easier (and cheaper) to wait for them to be released on DVD or for rent and rent just the best movies of the year.

I think this is a pretty good summer for movies, but far from the best. For one, the amount of comic book films feels a bit overkill. Anyway, I just saw Super 8 last weekend and it was really good. Total throwback to old Spielberg films, it has a lot of suspense but jam-packed with heart.
Here's my opinions on the big coming attractions:
-I'd like to see X-Men, as that's been given great reviews and I kind of liked the first movie.
-I absolutely can't wait for Cowboys and Aliens; I love movies that have such ridiculous plots they don't really take themselves seriously. Add two awesome action stars to the mix, and you have what's shaping up to be right up my alley.
-Not interested in Captain America or Green Lantern; they both seem bland to me.
-I don't like the Transformers films at all, and the third looks like it's doing nothing to change my mind.
-Since I've seen all the Harry Potter movies thus far, I'll probably watch the last one to see it through.
-Not at all looking forward to Cars 2. The original was quite possibly Pixar's weakest film, and I'm not really sure why it needed a sequel. I heard Monsters, Inc. was getting a sequel, and that seems far more fitting considering that one ended on a cliffhanger.

So many movies to eat up my paper this summer! Captain America, Green Lantern, Harry Potter, Cowboys and Aliens, Winnie the Pooh (you read right, girlfriends orders) Transformers...

I spent the last three weekends in the Cinema watching POTC4, Kung-Fu Panda 2 and Super 8, damn this awesome release schedule!

"It like ok at best."

I don't really follow which movies are coming out to theaters when, so I really have no idea. Also, I hardly ever go out and see them in theaters because I just rent them at home. Much cheaper this way even if I have to wait a couple extra months.

It's OK. I've seen a few already, which have been pretty cool, but nothing that makes me go, "OMG, THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME!"

The new X-Men completely surprised me. I figured it was going to be stupid, but it wasn't!

I also really liked X-Men, just saw it Friday. I wasn't the biggest fan of the original trilogy(didn't bother to see Wolverine), so it was a very pleasant surprise. One of the best superhero movies in a long time, in fact, as I actually felt for the characters and the action scenes were top-notch. Also, Kevin Bacon was an amazing villain.
