And for Earthbound/Mother you could have also thrown in Flint, Duster, Teddy, Ninten or even Fassad/Yokuba.

Fire Emblem is absolutely not "lesser" enough to be relegated to half of a poll while significantly less popular Golden Sun gets its own.

Wikipedia is far from a good place to refer to Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem has hundreds and hundreds of characters, how is it that almost all your selections are characters who've already been playable in the Super Smash Bros. series? You might as well throw Marth in there over Lyn and call it a day.

I agree completely. Fire Emblem deserves more love! Okay, so perhaps I'm a bit biased, but I bet there are some passionate Earthbound fans who would like to see some more representation in this poll as well

Anyway, I'd love to see Sothe or Micaiah or even...The Black Knight! That would be epic. I'm also growing quite fond of the lord from Awakening, Krom.

The Fire Emblem and Earthbound choices are horrible. Lyn is the only Fire Emblem character in the poll that was not in a Smash Brothers game (as a playable character), and there are no main characters who was part of your party from any of the Mother games present in the poll. None of the Earthbound choices will be playable characters because they wouldn't make any sense unless they were changed completely. Shouldn't have clumped the two series together.

How the hell are you gonna play with Giygas if his attacks' true form can't be grasped? Also, he's way too abstract, how can you control a character like that?

I agree, the choices are questionable especially on the Earthbound side. Giygas would be completely OP, and Mr. Saturn would be a joke character at best, considering he's been an item since Melee. Personally, I'd like to see Sothe and Micaiah(possibly a tag team) on the FE side, and Jeff, Paula, Poo, Duster, and Kumatora on the EB side.

Giygas? Uh, dude, he's a huge amorphous alien thingy from space whose true form cannot be comprehended. Good luck getting that on a character screen. He would be a stage or boss, if anything. Mr. Saturn doesn't even fight.

If it has to be a woman, Eirika's more important and Micaiah's at least more recent - but if you're looking for someone from FE7, at least go for Eliwood or Hector. Krom's probably a more likely option than all five, though.

...to say nothing about how you all picked Panther, an absolutely unimportant character in Star Fox over Alex, the main antagonist of Golden Sun.* You all wound me. There is no way in hell that Star Fox should get more characters than you can even name for Fire Emblem or Mother.

*And, unlike Felix, a different element from Isaac - and thus, would, unlike Felix, not be a clone.

Seeing as Giygas attacks cannot be grasped, maybe he can be some sort of boss or invincible boss (aka Porky Statue). Maybe it can be implemented as a normal boss with his look in Mother 1.

Well, if anything, Lyn is literally like one of the most popular FE characters, especially outside of Japan, where FE7 is the cornerstone of the fanbase and the series' international recognition. Plus, while it's true that, compared to Eirika or Micaiah in respect to their own games, Lyn isn't really all that important to the main story of FE7 in the grand scheme of things, she's still treated as such and has a lot of major prominence nonetheless. I feel that was the reason why Lyn was even an Assist Trophy in Brawl in the first place.

Personally speaking, I like Lyn, but I wouldn't say she'd be the best character to include in Smash 4 as a playable fighter in any regard. There are several characters from the series who are much, much cooler to have than Lyn, I think.
