Zidane's Poll of the Week #343

Sorry I was gone for the week, I went to Yosemite National Park to camp and by the time I came back it was too late to start a new poll, or at least I felt that way. Anyway, I had an idea ready, then I remembered that The Dark Knight Rises came out last week! So, this poll will be about that instead.

While I did not see the film at midnight, I did see it the next day and enjoyed it very much. But we can go into that in another thread, I suppose.

Definitely one of the best movie I have watched this year, although not as good as The Dark Knight. Bane and Cat Woman really did a great job in this one.

I didn't like how Bane turned out to be working for Talia al Ghul as opposed to working for himself though. His character build up was great, but at the end he was basically left to die and his actual death scene was just as pathetic... Also, I knew that kid would become Robin the moment I saw him. Batman NOT dying at the end did shock me and I'm glad him and Cat Woman seem to be hitting it off. I know they are done with the trilogy, but I think they could still do more with it. There are a bunch of villains to bring in.

No. I don't care for the new Batman movies, I will probably see it eventually when it's on TV or something if I can sit through 3 hours of it. I am excited for them to make a new one with different people (I just hope they don't let Michael Bay get his hands on it). I will be especially glad to see Christian Bale go.

Yeah, I saw it. And quite frankly.............I was severely disappointed. And that is after really liking (for the most part) the first two Nolan films.

This one was just ........not good. For many reasons.

Honestly, after seeing it, I'm glad Nolan is done making Batman. He seems (to me) to have really kind of lost whatever he had going. I still (personally) think that Batman Begins is the best of his films. The Dark Knight was excellent in it's own way, but they really kind of ruined Two-Face, and part of me feels that while Ledger did a great job, they really kind of made Joker TOO psycho.



But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. I'll always have Batman: The Animated Series. BEST Batman and Joker (or pretty much anyone else) depictions I've ever seen.

I have yet to see a Batman movie that is truly good, partly because no actor has completely pulled off the role of Batman IMO. I also have mixed feelings about Christopher Nolan's films (someone needs to edit his films down to more reasonable lengths). I thought Batman Begins was pretty terrible, and the only good parts in The Dark Knight were the ones with the Joker in it. So I don't really have any reason to believe I'll like this movie.

I saw it and loved it. I'm still not sure if I liked it more then The Amazing Spider-Man though.

Saw it on Sunday. Pretty epic. Loved the ending.

I was not expecting Bruce Wayne to live. But i'm guessing the auto pilot saved him. The only problems I have is the death scene of Bane. It did not really show him die. Catwoman just swooped in and nalied him with the bike. I think Bane could have survived that.

Saw it at the Midnight premier. I loved it. Out of the 3 movies it is my favorite film, but my least favorite execution of a villain.

Saw it. Couldn't understand what the bad guy was saying most of the time and I was lost in the story, even though I watched the first film.

Not saying it was a bad film or anything. I just didn't like it.

Saw it last week. I really enjoyed it. Thought it was better than Batman Begins, but not quite as good as The Dark Knight. To be fair though all three are excellent.

Saw it the first reasonable night of its release (aka not the midnight showing). But I too thought it was good but nothing in comparison to the Dark Knight. Primarily because of Heath Ledger's absence. I almost wished that the entire cast and studio pulled an elaborate ruse on us and faked Heath Ledger's death and had him walk on as the joker halfway through the movie. Wasn't the case; 2/10.
