Also, Q, I actually use Audacity to do my audio work. I never knew I could record with it, though...Can you record SKYPE convos that way?

Lastly, I want everyone to know that if you want to get your stuff in for Eppy 1, make sure to get it to me by noon Noon EST on Sunday, which is when I will start editing.

And do bear in mind that I will likely be taking priviledges in editing things down if they are a bit long, etc. ^_^;

"Co-Op" segments done over Skype will sound the best if you have everyone that's participating record their own mic feed using something like audacity and then have someone sync all of the feeds afterwards. Recordings of the skype feed are going to be harder to listen to, though you should have someone record that to have as a back up, too.

I guess you would have to sync them all to start with so that you're only dealing with one file and edit from there. It should be easy to sync everything if everyone starts recording at the same time.

As for Mac...Pff. I wish. Macs are my media compies and PCs are my everyday use ones. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to a Mac like in college. Sad face.

I'll probably experiment with SKYPE either this weekend or next week.
I already have the concept for episode 2 planned out (which I will announce at the end of Episode 1) but it will probably be a little while until the first Co-Op episode when I can get all of my stuff together.

Please try to record in WAV or MP3 format. Hopefully we won't run into any rate issues...Though everything I'm working with seems to be in 48000Hz.

Anyway, editing on this episode is about 2/3 done.
I've edited everything I can without doing any recording myself, which I will do this evening.

The episode will be split into three segments: Single Player Mode (just me giving my thoughts and reading some letters), Multiplayer Mode (the recordings I received edited together), and Co-Op Mode (a friend and I having a discussion about what we know of Other M).

It's looking like it'll be about 45-60 minutes in total with each segment being about 15-20 minutes.

I guess you could use some public file share like megaupload if you really need to. Btw, for next episode, you should have a podcast through WiiSpeak. Anyways, sounds great that you put something together .

You could always save it as a "video" file and upload it to YouTube.
Sure, it would be audio only, but hey, it works!

YouTube breaks things into 10 minute segments.
Also, you can't listen to YouTube on your MP3 player.

I did use MegaUpload this time. Maybe someone will have a better solution.
By the way, this is all finalized, I'm typing the post now and RMC will hopefully have it live at the day's end.

If you download a program called audacity, it's SUPER easy to record stuff and export it.

I used to have Audacity on my old laptop. and that one... doesn't work now. and the one i have now pre-dates the Regan Administration. But yeah it does have a mic. so i'll get audacity and see what happens.

The only thing about Audacity is that you'll have to remember to switch mics within Audacity's settings if you use different kinds, such as an internal microphone array, and a headset mic.
