I wouldn't put it past them to try, they failed with Geist because it was too complicated and lacked graphical ability on the GC couple with a lack of depth, but they could give it another go!! I don't even care if it's like Link's Crossbow Training, cause that game was pretty good as a freebii (I know, terrible use of double I's)
Even Nintendo themselves didn't develop Geist though, it was n-Space.

Who suggested a war/combat game? I didn't even mention a WW2 game. Halo isn't WW2, neither is Killzone. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, has been my favorite Nintendo published Wii game...mainly because it was a first-person shooter/adventure, though I tend to lean more towards the shooter category.
As of online, Nintendo has online in Mario Kart Wii, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and then in games by 2nd Party developers like Excitebots and Endless Ocean...so, they can do it, though if it ended up like SSBB online, then it would basically be The Conduit all over again.
Again, this is my "wishful thinking". If Nintendo has teamed with 2nd Party developers to make a lot of games, I don't see why they couldn't at least do the same for a multi-player focused FPS game on the Wii that could be the Wii's Halo or Killzone.
