OK, I don't hate it, really, but the design of it is driving me crazy. I just got the game and loaded a pokemon into the walker: a level 5 sentret. I stick the thing in my pocket (I'm 'too cool' to have the damn thing dangle from my belt or from a keychain, and the fact that my girlfriend said she refused to go out with me in public if I wear it) and head to the city of San Francisco. After walking about for most of the day, roughly 13,000 steps, I get home and check how many watts I earned.
34.
Yep. 34 watts.
Going by the conversion rate, I should've earned around 650 watts. Why did I only earn 34 watts? Because when you stick it in your pocket, the buttons are bound to get pressed eventually. So while walking around, the damn pokewalker was using up my watts doing the pokemon radar thing or that item finding minigame.
On the plus side, my pokemon found an Escape Rope. Good for me. And the worst part? I'm still going to keep using it.
I hate that thing.
