Hell, a fanboy might think I'm crazy for having an un-opened Mario Galaxy 2 game sitting on my shelf since 3 days ago because I can't stop playing Monster Hunter. Do I care, nope. Same should be said for you. This brand loyalty is part of what's killing the game industry anyways. A own a Wii and PC, but I make it a point to visit my friends during the week to catch up on Xbox and PS3 exclusives that I miss out on.
Although, I will disagree with what Vader said about the graphics in Monster Hunter because the texture work and tech is fantastic when considering the scale of the game.

@Autosaver
Different opinions I suppose. But I don't like what the mass majority likes I hated PH, NSMB, NSMBW, and Pokemon Diamond too name a few.

Dude you are insane to think NSMB and NSMBW suck.

He didn't say it sucks, he said he didn't like it.Big difference.
Not everyone has to jump up for joy when a new mario game gets made every few months :/.

Also, I'd like to dispute this whole idea that Monster Hunter 3 is all that good looking a game, because while some of the models are fantastic, the environments are universally bland and pretty uninspired. And that fanboys of other consoles don't know what quality is like Wii fanboys do. (When games like De Blob and The Conduit are what's worth getting hyped up over on a console... :/ )

PATRIOT7ME wrote:to shut up.
They are all jumping up and down like nintendo is doomed since the Natal and Playstation Move came around the corner.
Really I can't stand this crap I have been hearing all this gen. They think they know quality but they don't.

Facepalm wrote:Honestly, the biggest fanboys are the ones that find more meaning in nostalgia than progression.
To say that you hated NSMB because it wasn't like World is a complete miss of the point. NSMB is not Super Mario World 3. So don't approach it like it is.
You have to know how to approach things in order to truly appreciate this industry. If you don't want reinvention, you chose the wrong hobby. Play chess; that never changes.
The fact is, NSMB is just as well made, perhaps even more well-made than SMW. And if you spent your childhood playing NSMB, you would feel that magic.

Yes I said I hated the NSMB series but did not say they sucked they are quality titles but they felt generic to me in comparison to the SMW and SMB3. Too me it felt like a good effort but not a spectacular one like SMW and SMB3. They just didn't have the magic SMW and SMB3 had. Plus Yoshi is limited (which is not a HUGE problem but is just one of the reasons I enjoyed World more), I didn't like the "multiplayer" (it's just single player with extra players) I liked the Single Player the first time around but I know I won't ever return to it like I had with SMW and SMB3 numerous times.

the new zelda is gonna be very different to the other zeldas that worked very well. they spent about 4-5 years on it, 4-5 years on a a bad idea or something worse than the current zelda formula (which i absolutely love) and were in for a massive disappointment. 4-5 on something even better than the current zelda formula, then we are in for one heck of a big game.
i trust nintendo, remember when nintendo proved to everyone they can keep metroid prime loyal to the series even if it has a massive change? remember when everyone thought theyre ruining zelda by making it cartoony? are they heading for a hat-trick?
also rumours say theres a really innovative combat system, if thats true and the combat system works, just watch every playstation move game copy that, thats why zelda is so big to the industry

Twilight Princess was in development for roughly the same amount of time, so I don't see your point. SMG2 didn't need 4-5 years of development to be the second greatest game ever made, so you trusting Nintendo is a bit naive. At this point we're really just speculating "what if the next Zelda is totally awesome and wicked sweet?"

I can't stand those who keep saying Mario should have died 3 or 4 years ago, those are also the people who play nothing but generic fps'. I got bored of fps games a few years ago because they are all the same thing just with different guns and a different look.
I normally don't defend shooters, but the same can be said about all rpgs, fighting games, racing games, etc.
