Online Mario Kart and Animal Crossing with u guys

Postby Rupert the Great » 18 Oct 2005 22:39

Hey you guys!! even though i just signed for the boards, i have/listen to all the podcasts you guys make. I think they are really well thought out and i love listening to them. Anyways, lets get to the point. I would absolutely LOVE it if I could play Mario Kart and Animal Crossing online with u guys. the thing is, i need to know all of ur DS names. including Rawmeat(of course), Motherbrain, john the savage, Nintenho, and Nicky hill. If i forgot someone, im sorry, but u dont matter enough right now. so anyways, my DS name is DK-porker7. So, on november 15th,(hopefully) i hope that we will be able to race each other as friends!! (Oh, and on the 5th or 6th of December, i hope to trade furnishings with u guys. )

Later!!

Is it ok to talk about other non-nintendo related stuff and if so do you think you'd ever make a forum section for it?

Do you think you'll ever create a 'Review' section where people could go and read and write reviews for games?

When are we establishing a 'Chat Room Time?'

/not questions

Yeah those apple handheld pics people have made are pretty awsome. I would love it as I love apple and nintendo! But I'd really rather apple teach nintendo how to make their stuff super thin and sexy.

I'm really intrested to find out what games you do and do not want to se sequels to on the revolution and what kinds of gameplay they might have. I personaly cant wait to get my hands on new zelda game that you can swing a sword in. The chickens will cower from me.

1. do you guys think that Nintendo is experimenting with FPS's. I mean, a first party shooter for the cube, and suddenly Nintendo comes with a controller that breaths FPS. Shigaru Myamoto even said that he would like to see a FPS on the Revo!

2. Do you think that Nintendo will put a lot of work into the free network of the Revolution like Microsoft with the Xbox.

3. What type of candy do you like best?

I live in Europe and what always makes me very angry is how nintendo usually releases EVERYTHING in Japan, then after a while in the US and then finally after another while in Europe. Does this delay irritate you guys too?

What is your favorite console accessory? Personally, mine is the Exercise Pad for the NES, as that Track and Field game is still fun to play as a party game to this very day.

How do you think gaming would have turned out if they launched the NES with the Legend of Zelda instead of Super Mario Bros.?

Question

Postby Angusman3 » 24 Oct 2005 21:58

Well, I just bought a Apple 20" cinema display, and I got to thinking what do you guys like Mac or PC?

How do you guys think the next Legend of Zelda will turn out with the extra delay....maybe best yet?

And also, I hope you read this because I listened to your podcast and heard you say Apple switched over to the iPod nano. I have come to find Apple is usually pretty good about giving you compensation, so give them a call.

Thanks and love the site and podcast.

podcast #10

Postby fumblygumbly » 25 Oct 2005 15:41

hey i'd just like to say that i enjoyed your "guys only show". it was more all over the place, the jokes were hilarious, you guys were just let lose and out of control, and that annoying motherbrain wasnt there to give her annoying two cents on the topics at hand. out of all of your podcasts i truly enjoyed #10 the most and i hope future podcasts are equally or more so enjoyable.

hey! im new to the forums, and i recently found ur podcast through a friend of mine when discussing our own plans to make a podcast relating to video games.

Good show, i really liked the background music in the back (i couldnt recognize a lot of it though, lol)

Speaking of which, if I had a question that could be answered. I'd like to know your thoughts on Kirby Air Ride for Gamecube. I personally critically acclaim it to be the hardest game to ever perfect a file at (still attempting it too).

Thanks for... reading? reading, yea

MARio

Postby nomoremeagaman » 25 Oct 2005 19:11

Scuse the username, too many Megaman games out there and they keep repeating. also i need to get a pic. love the new site.

What franchise would like you like to see brought over from another system (includes GBA) onto the Revolution or DS?

and for you Rawmeat, i dont know if it's just the dialect where you are but down here in Florida we say MARio as in MARvolous nor MAIRio as in MARRY me. if you can, please stop that, lil annoying.

Which Nintendo franchise needs to be retired?

i know it's really early, but you should hold a contest sometime and take one or 2 loyal fans(i.e. ME) to E3 since it's press and stuff only.

just a thought

Do you the had the gamecube been the panasonic q model, would nintendo have sold more units?

Nintendo have already stated that the revo must sell way more than the gamecube to be a success?

here's a question posted about measuring developer support from the revolution section:

does the current widespread support of revolution mean an interest in making games designed especially for rev's features, and if so, how many games will they be able to develop alongside those intended for the other systems... i wonder what that ratio will be? i would think most developers are going to be stretching their resources thin already to create the expensive games for 360 or ps3.

if they try to port rev-centric games to other systems, i wonder how well they'll translate? of course i'm also curious about the opposite of that: how well will they port games from the other systems to the rev, if they will (or be able to) at all!?

I hope you can guys can include this in the podcast, want to know your views :-)
