Gameplay
Players now have the ability to flip over tables to use as cover, and shoot off enemy armour and helmets to expose weak spots. Motion controls are used for opening doors and flicking switches, and a sprint button has been added to allow players to charge or flee from opponents. Levels are less "corridor-based" in design, but are rather more open with multiple pathways to explore. The game's story unfolds during gameplay through triggered scripted sequences instead of through cutscenes as in the first game. The game retains the customizable controls from the first game.

Locations
The game will be set in Atlantis as well as Washington, D.C., Agartha, Siberia, the Amazon, England and China.

Weapons
The game will feature boss battles against large aliens, and nearly two dozen new weapons, such as the "Vortex Blaster" which catches rounds fired by opponents and then fires the collection of ammunition back at them, or a mobile turret that can be picked up and moved to different parts of a level, and remotely fired from behind cover, as well as the Phase Rifle; which is capable of firing through walls. Some weapons will be customized. Most will have a secondary attack like putting mines with tpc launcher. With the hive cannon, you can throw goey balls to people so that all shots from the hive go to them. There will be a gun that places controllable turrets.
The only update on bombs (for now) is that the explosive grenade will explode on time, not impact. Various weapons and devices will return from the first game, such as the All-Seeing-Eye or ASE which is a device that is used to scan objects for use in a data-log, unlock doors and force fields, discover hidden traps and enemies, discover hidden unlockables, and have other functions similar to the visor in Metroid Prime. Weapons from the first game will now feature new alternate fire modes.

Multiplayer
Along with a standard single-player and multiplayer online modes, the title will feature a four player split-screen multiplayer with offline and online modes. The online element will feature "increased security" over the first game to prevent hackers. Bounty Hunter mode will be returning from the first game, as well as a new Co-op mode which will feature "Invasion Mode", in which players will combat waves of enemies, either online over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, or on the same console in splitscreen mode. The game allows up to 12 players to battle online and includes Wii Speak compatibility. A new headset has been announced for the game. No specifics on the headset have been announced other than it is said to be a pack-in with the game.

Another feature added is the ability for players to revive fallen teammates. The game will introduce different character classes, each with unique attributes, and allow the player to alter their characters appearance as well as unlock over 30 suit upgrades that bestow the character with special skills, such as robotic legs let the player to sprint greater distances. Players will be able to switch between two different character classes during the course of a match, each with different player defined weapons and upgrades. The Conduit 2 features a currency system that allows players to earn money that can be used to purchase weapons, upgrades and armor pieces to alter their characters look. HVS is also going to implement an online system where they can monitor hacks and glitches and will be fixable through patches. This feature will be very helpful as the original was spammed with wall glitches and online hackers right after release.

PDP Headbanger Headset which will be supported by this game, as well as, Wii Speak and Wii MotionPlus.

I loved The Conduit, and Conduit 2 is looking good. I didn't really play the multiplayer in the first one much...but it looks like they are really improving it for the second one. I really enjoyed the secret society aspect of the single player, though, and will most likely be looking to go through the single player in the sequel, more than the multiplayer. I hope the story is fleshed out more, and explained some.

I think it gets a bad rap...the first game. I honestly felt bad that I waited for it to drop to $30. It was well worth that, to me.

Yeah. Just hope it gets at least the same sales as The Conduit, or better.
I'm looking forward to Conduit 2, so I feel like I'm set as far as online FPSs go.......
Unfortunately, that means I have no interest in GoldenEye Wii, and I feel bad for that. Wii is getting an exclusive re-imagining of a super-popular game, and I won't be helping to support it. FML.

Meh. I didnt like the first one. The gameplay was extremely dated, and while the character and enemy models looked great... the environments looked HORRIBLE. Had potential. Even with all of this info, Im still not sure if this one will truly improve enough on it. But, call me optimistic right now.

Some gameplay footage from E3. Shown is multiplayer.

Environmental textures still look bland but the game does look alittle bit more interesting than before, map wise.

I thought the conduit was awesome.well...mostly the multiplayer. This time around it looks better then before.More guns, suit upgrades,MORE GUNS!the thing i really hated was the dumb AI.Its like it thought i sucked at it and just waited for me to fire.So im happy for Smarter AI.My favorite guns in the first one was the SPAS 12 and the SCAR.And im really looking forward to the improved multiplayer. No more automatic SMAWS ever again!

This is one of my most anticipated. I hated Conduit's 1 single player. I loved online (before it was dominated by hackers). This looks to step things up BIG TIME! Maybe if i'm lucky the online won't be overrun with hackers. Though I doubt it.
Finally got a PS3 sooo add me if you want. :)

I'm hopeful this game will be better, but I'm skeptical right now.

If this is HVS' first Wii game to be able to "patch" after release, I wonder how well it will work for them.
I don't know what other games HVS has developed that they have patched after release(anybody know of any)?
Seeing that the first game had internal coding problems, is what has me concerned.

I want to hear the words, "There is NO SPAWN GLITCH".
Until then, it's a no go.

The SCAR making you invisible its likely a mistake from that journalist, since only that article mentioned that. The ARC Eclipse does have a charge function that makes you invisible.

Taken simply for what it is, I do like that boxart. It is, however, much too generic and similar to Master Chief/Halo. Like I say, though, it is very well done...I like it a lot. I also liked the first game's box art, but I do believe that this one will catch the eye more with the stark white/orange cover.
