Bunch of stuff, anything that Hohez listens to is up my alley. I also branch out into different kinds of rock, as well as some gaelic folk once and a while.

Right now I'm hopping between:

Blue October
Alkaline Trio
Rammstein
In Extremo

also mine is in kind of a perpetual updating phase since, theres an absolute ton of stuff i need to add to it.

and about the metallica. Yeah that was a phase I went through in high school where I built up this big collection. Cds, Magazines, you name it. They mean nothing to me however the collection remains.

and also, since I didn't give a lot of info in my first post, some of my favorite artists are:

Blue October
The Nixons
The Juliana Theory
Our Lady Peace
Live
Mae
Flickerstick
Black Lab

can go on for a while

wow.. hard for me to pinpoint. i listen to literally everything.. except modern 'country', which is just complete crap. i think that genre died back in the 70s. anyway, i'm mostly a rock and alternative guy.

favourite band is u2, but i love so many other bands too; couldn't possibly list them all!

Here's some bands:

Rancid
NoFX
MxPx
Bad Religion
Alkaline Trio
The Casualties
The Ramones
Green Day was good
Good Charlotte's first two CDs were decent....
Dynamite Boy

Some other various punk/emo bands, but even I didn't want to go to the Nintendo Fusion tour. Those bands sucked.

EDIT: I just bolded Bad Religion because it's my favorite band.

i listen to a lot of OSTs (eg, anime, video game, arranged OSTs)

and my prime interest in music is J-pop (J-music in general)

big names:
Ayumi Hamasaki (my favorite, i cant live without listening to her at least once a day)
Morning Musume
Minimoni
Utada Hikaru
Do As Infinity
m-flo (new school, i don't like old school m-flo)
Aya Matsuura
W

and a lot of others., m-flo is j-rap, which is interesting but very cool at times, theyre very talented at making music (i cant justify the lyrics though, since i cant understand and have rarely ever seen a translation)

I usually listen to Hindi music and videogame remixes (DKC2 and OoT music PWNS! :P). There aren't a lot of english artists that I "listen to", pretty much anything that doesn't have useless cursing or rap in it. Although Linkin Park is pretty cool.

Some of my favorite bands

Ramones
The Misfits
Beastie Boys
Supersuckers
Man or Astro-Man?
Reverend Horton Heat
Pink Floyd
White Zombie
Pantera

I listen to a lot of different stuff though and my iPod has something from pretty much every genre I will listen to now and again. Can't get in to much of the new punk (Fallout Boy and that lot), but I really liked the American Idiot album.

As far as saying bands suck, music appeals to such a wide variety of people in so many different ways its really not fair to call out people's favorite bands. That recent Ashley Simpson CD sold millions of copies and I just shake my head about stuff like that, but obviously there is something about it that appeals to a certain group. More power to them.

Ignorant fools don't say that. Fools who respect and enjoy owning something tangible instead of downloading some bits on a computer say that.

Liner notes > Itunes.

And Ipod is more expensive than other MP3 players with the same compacity.

I'm a CD person myself. If I ever own an mp3 player, it's to make my music more portable.

I refuse to buy mp3s from Itunes or any other place. Any music that would be on my mp3 player would be owned in CD form.

With practice you won't get virus's anymore, you grow a sixth sense as to what to get and what not to get.

Wonder how much total time i have in my collection. /checks

386 Hours.

I could listen for over 16 days straight.
