Demon's Souls getting localised. ^^

Best news of the day for me. I've been interested in getting this since it got so much acclaim and have been waiting for a localisation for UK. I know I could always import the US version since the PS3 is region free but it's expensive doing that. Plus I heard some online features didn't work as well on imported copies (although I may be wrong on that).

Anyways, anyone else pleased about this?

I'm pleased that all my European buds will get to play this game. Be forewarned, it's brutally difficult. But it's also a lot of fun once you get past the learning curve and stop getting your ass kicked so frequently.

I'm not European but I'm happy that more people will be able to enjoy this amazing game.

Like some of you said to me before I got it, and now I can confirm it, the game is tough as nails. It got me mad and swearing at the screen like no other game has done it in years, but it's also very rewarding and every task that you finally complete is very satisfying... I seriously recomend it, and I also have been spreading the word to all my PS3 owner friends since it seems this game is flying under the radar of a lot of people, at least in the US.

Glad that more people can enjoy it. My friend got the game and I've tried it. It's brutal on the difficulty so you might have to practice. A lot.

Haha, yeah I've heard a lot about the difficulty. That's pretty much what piqued my interest in it, sounds like a hell of a challenge.

More news, apparently we are getting the Black Phantom edition as standard over here. That's got an artbook, soundtrack CD and a strategy guide. Probably because they're worried a lot of the people who'd have bought the game have already imported the normal US edition. Man, that looks like a nice package.. I even like the red boxart over the standard blue.

I would've liked to check up the strategy guide instead of having to resort to the internet also, you lucky Europeans you.

You guys weren't kidding about the difficulty. I must admit though, being able to watch all the different ways other people had their arses handed to them makes getting yourself killed a bit less grueling.

As for the package itself it's pretty nice, especially seeing as it didn't cost any more than usual game price. The art books a nice inclusion and I have a feeling the strategy guide will be invaluable.

The great thing about Demon's Souls is that it never feels cheap or frustrating (ok, sometimes it's pretty frustrating). Somehow, dying repeatedly only compels you to keep playing, though.
