Players now have the ability to flip over tables to use as cover,
Yeah because wood is really resistent agaist bullets and laser guns.It will surely protect me agaist those. Also a cover system? Great a game mechanic used about a million times now is implimated into FPSs.Actually i take that back because theres another game that did cover system for FPSs coughKillzone2cough.Atleast that game didnt make it the focus of all the gun fights.
and shoot off enemy armour and helmets to expose weak spots.
Hey gameplay elements from 6-8 years ago.
Motion controls are used for opening doors and flicking switches,
Great more waggle.Look atleast if there is an option to change from waggle to using bottons i will be ok.Just to make it mantatory for every single freaking door.
and a sprint button has been added to allow players to charge or flee from opponents.
Again elements from 6-8 years ago that have been used a million times now.
Levels are less "corridor-based" in design, but are rather more open with multiple pathways to explore. The game's story unfolds during gameplay through triggered scripted sequences instead of through cutscenes as in the first game. The game retains the customizable controls from the first game.
No complaining here.Lets just hope they dont screw this part up.
The game will be set in Atlantis as well as Washington, D.C., Agartha, Siberia, the Amazon, England and China.
Why do i get the feeling that the story will be the Modern Warfare 2 Type of one, where its just only there to transport you through all these locations.
The game will feature boss battles against large aliens,
...a mobile turret that can be picked up and moved to different parts of a level, and remotely fired from behind cover,...There will be a gun that places controllable turrets.
coughHalflife2TeamFortress2cough (Amsterdam 3)
as well as the Phase Rifle; which is capable of firing through walls.
Some weapons will be customized.
The only update on bombs (for now) is that the explosive grenade will explode on time, not impact.
SOOO its a grenade.
- Code: Select all
Various weapons and devices will return from the first game, such as the All-Seeing-Eye or ASE which is a device that is used to scan objects for use in a data-log, unlock doors and force fields, discover hidden traps and enemies, discover hidden unlockables, and have other functions similar to the visor in Metroid Prime.
Great now its a little more usefull than in the first game.
Along with a standard single-player and multiplayer online modes, the title will feature a four player split-screen multiplayer with offline and online modes. The online element will feature "increased security" over the first game to prevent hackers. Bounty Hunter mode will be returning from the first game,
The same crap gamemods that pretty much every important FPS since halo has been praised for (through 4 player co-op is nice).
as well as a new Co-op mode which will feature "Invasion Mode", in which players will combat waves of enemies, either online over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, or on the same console in splitscreen mode.
Another feature added is the ability for players to revive fallen teammates.
The game will introduce different character classes, each with unique attributes, and allow the player to alter their characters appearance as well as unlock over 30 suit upgrades that bestow the character with special skills, such as robotic legs let the player to sprint greater distances. Players will be able to switch between two different character classes during the course of a match, each with different player defined weapons and upgrades.
Pretty much the same class system as in Killzone 2 Moder Warfare etc.
I didnt like the first game.
The story was nonexistent, the gameplay was repetetive, the online multiplayer was a toned down halo expiriance, the bosses were reused and lame, the whole setting is illogical and the enemies feel too much like in half life.Oh and the graphics were crap.
Nothing on that game was innovative exept the cube/ball thing that makes annoying sounds and is essentially a pretty lame way to artificially lengthen the game.
I dont know what will they do to convince me that this will be any better but from the looks of it they will not.
