I suggest watching two movies. I recommend not forming an opinion until you have seen both.

First, An Inconvenient Truth. Then to follow, The Great Global Warming Swindle.

Personally, I believe global warming is a concern, but certainly not as bad as many make it out to be. Should we humans reduce our waste and harmful emissions? Absolutely. Should we fear the apocalypse in the next 5 years if we don't? No, I don't believe so.

Honestly, I think we should worry more about our trash situation, the state of recycling, and our obsession with plastics (see movie: Addicted to Plastics) over global warming.

You're right, on that count, somewhat. Especially Styrofoam. One of the worst substances ever invented. It doesn't bio-degrade for many, many years, and when it finally does, it turns into a toxic gas.

But global warming and climate change are, in fact, a bigger, and more immediate concern, over our trash/recycling/over production/over-consumption issues.

The ice caps are melting. That is going to drastically alter the planet. And many animals, such as polar bears, are in danger of being wiped off the face of the planet because their only natural habitat is disappearing. Whether people want to believe global warming is a problem or not, we are absolutely to blame for the things it is affecting, like polar bears. Rising tides, even worse hurricanes, and possible drought are just a few issues, beyond animal species going extinct. It is a pretty huge problem, and we need to be dealing with it now, not later. ALL countries on earth need to be dealing with it. It's the 21st century. We should not still have nations that are over-producing and polluting the way that especially India, China and the U.S. do.

S**t needs to change, period.

While I don't believe the world's going to flood and Al Gore is going to need to lead a pair of every animal onto an Ark to save them within the next few years, I do realize that it is a problem and that people are responsible in some ways. The ice caps are melting and there's no doubt about that.

As far as climategate goes, why does it matter? Should we all just throw our trash on the ground and drive 18 wheelers around aimlessly because a couple sources tampered with their data? What reason is there to not be trying to improve our environment?

And saying that snow means there's no global warming is the equivalent to saying gravity doesn't exist because a balloon floats up.

"Recent polls show that more people don't believe in Global Warming and believe that the issue is over exaggerated"

Did you know that one of those polls added up to a total of 123% (Or somewhere around there)? Sounds a bit like exaggeration to me. I guess polls are now all inaccurate and we need to call it 'Pollgate' and never take polls again.
