I already bought the Black micro and I even picked up an ammonite face plate from Nintendo to go with it.

I'm importing a Play Yan for it now, but there is a wait on those.

I'm interested in it, my SP does stick out a bit. I always love to game on the go. Especially during work. :P

I'm seriously thinking about getting a GBA micro. I already have a perfectly good GBA SP, but I like the smaller and sharper screen that the micro has. Plus the faceplates thing is cute, I can see myself collecting a lot of those, haha. It'd be awesome to get a Play-Yan micro (MP3/Movie player addon) to go with it too. But I don't really have the extra money to buy all that right now, so it'll have to wait.

I see no reason to get a micro. My SP is already superior to all others. And my DS can play GBA games.

Yeah, the micro is definitely a guilty pleasure. I have no need for one, but I don't have any buyer regret since I really just traded in stuff at GameRush for it anyway.

Hopefully it will drop in price soon to make it more of a must buy for people. $99 is a bit steep for a GBA.

99 is steep for a gba.. even if it is 'impossibly small' as apple might say. speaking of which.. i'd rather shell out the extra 30 for a ds, or use the cash for something different altogether (ipod video anyone) ;)

I don't know. I don't think I would buy it even if I had the money. I mean, I already have everything I need to play any GBA games, and I always wear cargo pants. :P

No Micro for me. It just seems like a waste of money when I could just play my GBA games on my Nintendo DS.

i'm so ashamed that even to this day i have yet to get a handheld/portable nintendo system. yes, i've never owned a gameboy.. in any generation, including it's newer cousin the DS. i do find the wireless connectivity an intriguing selling point, but i think the thing that detracts me most from portable gaming is that i'm never in a place where i can do that anyway... if travelling, i'm almost always the driver. if out and about, i'm not usually sitting around, but rather going about the task at hand, and if i'm at home, i have my consoles and *ahem* GBA emulator on my mac.

i'm also afraid that i'll be tempted to dump hundreds of dollars at a time on the habit, should i get swept up ;) anyone have some good persuasive dialogue to convince me to get a DS?

Start taking buses.

I ride the bus and subway a lot, so I love Advance Wars: Dual Strike. So long lasting.

that'd be great if i were still in college. i used to ride the metro everyday then. but these days it's much quicker and convenient for me to drive. plus, i already have a financial commitment to my baby (see below)... how can i forego it for a lousy bus? ;)

i wonder if there are some DS geeks in the minneapolis area who get together (in person or by connectivity) to play?

Dude nice wheels

On subject.(DS)
Well Id only get it if I had time. Iv had plenty of time to play these days since the first semester of college is pretty easy. Plus my brother bought it so I just play his :D lol. I was planning on getting one for myself but im going to wait a while and see. Maybe a red one, since red is my favorite.

More on Subject (Micro)
But I wouldnt buy the micro, I have so far..
Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, DS. I see no point in getting a micro. lol. But I guess the people who like to collect Gamboys would get one.

Chances are I won't. I just got the DS and my mom kinda is upset just because A handheld's gaming life only lasts about 2 years. So I probally wont be gettin one anytime soon.

The $99 price tag is the worst part about the micro, in my opinion. With the new backlit Gameboy SP's at $80, and a Nintendo DS at $130, it's hard to see the bang-for-buck benefits in a micro.

I for one am planning to get a Nintendo DS very soon. The impending release of Mario Kart DS (with INTERNET play!) is compelling me to get one. That and the fact that the innovative DS games are far outweighing the PSP games in my eyes. But that's another story...

Anyways, no thanks on the micro. Yes please for the DS.

So far you can only play these games on Wi-Fi:
Tony Hawk's Sk8land
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Mario Kart DS
Metroid Prime Hunters
And something else......

The rest are just the 30-100ft thing, so I doubt you could play GBA games online.

i'm still leaning toward no on the portable front as a whole. deep down i know it'd be fun, but i've yet to have someone point out a good reason i should get on the bandwagon!
