Well in this thread you can trade friend codes and negotiate trades with other fellow Gonintendo members. I just thought it would be a good way to meet new people and get new pokemon. Just state the pokemon you are looking for and wait for a response.

and as for trading... yes, please do list what you have and are looking for, but conduct the actual trading conversations in PM or IM, and if your lists change, come back and EDIT your post with the most current info...just to keep things from getting confusing and unwieldy.
