Just bought my 3DS but the a button is not very responsive

Whats better then one screen? Well two screens of course! Current-gen portables inside: DS, Lite, DSi, DSXL, 3DS...

Just bought my 3DS but the a button is not very responsive

Postby 3DSninja » 09 May 2011 14:12

I everyone, first time poster but long time follower of the site. I just bought my Nintendo 3DS and love it and have only 1 problem with it. Depending on the responses I get will determine if I exchange it for a new one.

The 'a' button seems to be less responsive then the rest of the buttons. As in I have to press harder for it to respond. Is that a normal quark with the system or should I exchange it for a new one?

Thanks for everyone's help!

Doesn't sound right to me, I'd exchange it if I were you. Might as well.

This. All the buttons should be the same and respond just like the other ones.

If it's going to effect game-play then you really should return it.
This reminds me of a puzzle.

If the store won't take it back call Nintendo. Their customer service is the best in the business and they'll bend over backwards to make you happy. Just explain the situation and you shouldn't have any problem at all.

Thanks for the replies! I'm going back to best buy today to see if they will exchange it. I figured mine had a defect but when I had a DS the B button was the same way.

Wish me luck and thanks again!

yea always exchange a new system right away if there is anything wrong with it.

when I got my first ds(phat) it had a dead pixel, so I exchanged it the next day, and went through 2 more right there in the store until I got one with no dead pixels.

Nintendo's customer support is the best in the video game industry. What's even better is that the system they send you ("refurbished" or "new"... they look the same to me, when from Nintendo), is that they put another 1 year warranty on it.

what? This is the nintendo that was going to charge my brother 40 dollars plus shipping to fix his wii-remote for him. So it would be cheaper just to buy a new one. yeah....real great.
