NES Video Adapter

I'm trying to hook up my NES to my new flat screen, but unfortunately, it's just a monitor with no Coax hookup. Is there any way or any other kind of adapter i can use to hook my NES up to the monitor? (such as component or something?)

Unfortunatly, I'm not sure. But, on the other hand, you can take cables from your Wii, hook them up, and get NES games from there. Sadly, thats all the help I can offer. Unless of course, you Emulate, in which case, I can help you a lot.

if i remember right, you had only a couple options back then... the standard composite RCA plug, an RF adapter, or the coaxial adapter. i would think the most compatible with today's technologies would be the RCA composite, especialy if your tv has component plugs.

anyone know where the RCA composites might be found? i've only got the RF

i belive ninteno sells them straight from their site.

There is a section on the shop page that reads "look for parts". I would start there. If i remeber correctly, they have reasonalbe pricings too.

also, if i rember corectly, the RF (red, yellow, white cables right?) ports are on the side of the NES, and they are female ended (hole rather than prong). if im correct, you can just by a set of male to male RF cables ar a radio shack or other general electronic store(CC, BB, wall mart) and hook it up with that. NES would be female and your TV is female, male to male should work.

RCA cables are basically the same thing as component, at least the actual plug endings. the NES had one audio (mono) and one video plug on the side. this is still your best bet for any modern tv (within the past 10 years), no extra adapters or anything needed.

you can find an RF or other video adapters on ebay, or other vintage gaming shops online. took me about 3 seconds to get a list of hundreds of places via google.
