Hey, I don't know what this is for, I just clecked [sic] it from the main Gonintendo page, but if I have to ask a question, then while all this chaos is going on about Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and other Wii RPGs, then here's a question for you:

If those games never came over, and Nintendo never bothered stopping a translation group from patching Wii ROMS of those games, would you download them to play them?

Ahoy–hoy, podcast crew! I'm writing in from my 3DS and feeling pretty happy about it! It may not be the BEST internet browser, but it is amazingly relaxing to read internet comics in bed on my handheld and even save my favorites to the 3DS Camera application.

Anyways, I've been hearing a lot of discussion lately, with friends and on podcasts, about the best way to play Super Smash Bros... with/without items, Final Destination only, etcetera. Personally, I love the bat–shovel insanity of max items, random stages and random characters because to me, that's what it's all about! What about you guys?

On the topic of Smash Bros., what random/obscure fighters and stages would YOU put into Super Smash Bros. Wii U–FC?

Looking forward to your response!

P.S. Hopefully I'll be sending you guys something I've been working on via e–mail soon! (hint: it has to do with my avatar!)
Wii U is so awesome, even the ambulances are saying it.

Hey everybody! Johnny2900 here with a couple of questions.

1. Is there a game everyone seems to love but you do not like or vice versa. Other M is in my top 3 Metroid titles but the game just gets a lot of hate.

2. What in the world is MST3K? I hear about this every week but there is next to no explanation for people like me who never seen or heard of it before.

3. Lastly, if you could walk in the shoes of any game developer what company would be and why? I would work with Game Freak and try to convince them to get Pokemon Snap 2 be made for 3DS.

Thanks for your time guys and any objections RMC? 8)

Hey Gonintendo crew!

Did you guys play through Heavy Rain? If so, I'm wondering what endings you guys got and whether or not you were satisfied by them. I'm not sure if we're still in spoiler territory, but I'll keep it vague just in case. I got a fairly normal ending with the killer dead, which was hugely different from when I watched my friend play through the game. He was unfamiliar with the Playstation controller, but insisted on going through with the default difficulty and as a result, his game ended about an hour and a half earlier with *spoilers* death for all.

If you could take a game that does not have orchestrated music and give it an orchestrated soundtrack or music with real instruments, what game would you pick? I'd go with Wind Waker. The exact same arrangements but with real instruments. Awesome.

Thanks a lot for your time,

Wait, this thread is open? Crapballs, now I gotta think of a question.

Greetings GoNintendo podcast crew. I have but one inquiry. If you had a gigantic pair of pants, (like, the massivest clown pants you've ever seen) what sort of things would you always keep in your pants for easy access at all times? I would dismantle my car piece by piece and keep all the components in my pants, so that I could reassemble it whenever I have need for a car. Also game controllers. And various forms of weaponry. and several ethnic women.

I hope you've enjoyed my made-up-on-the-spot question. That will be all. You may return to your seats.

O hai there podcast peoplez, I has queshtz

1. If Nintendo were to bring only 1 of the 3 special games to america and gave fans the option pick which game lives, what game would you pick? I would pick Pandora's Tower mainly because I love Castlevania and all of it's chain goodness.

2. What is your favorite Nintendo Accessory/Controler of all time? I love my orange Gamecube controller and still use it all the time, also I have become quite fond of the wiimote. It took quite some time to get used to it but now I accept it as a friend.

Podcast crew...I...I think I'm pregnant...AND ONE OF YOU IS THE FATHER! Yes, even Mom Brain or the Stranger.
But enough about your child, we'll deal with that in 9 months. Here's an awful question!

Have you guys had any memorable glitches in a game? Cart tilting Mario 64 to turn Mario into an amputee sliding around his back is always fun, but back sometime around 2006, I was replaying Ocarina of Time on my N64. The game was not in the best condition, and to this day I can hear something rattling inside it whenever I shake the cartridge.
Great Fairies scare the shovel out of me. The still do in Ocarina 3D. I still cringe whenever I have to listen to that ear bleeding laugh of hers. Anyway, I'm replaying through the game, and I get to the first fairy. As soon as she appears, the game glitches in the middle of her terrifying laugh. Everything's distorted, the audio has become a garbled mess, and poor young Link is upside down. It didn't help that the game took two reboots to start back up I'm amazed my cartridge still works after all these years, and that little incident.
...What was my question again? Oh right, Lube's best drunk story, er, I mean, memorable glitches. Sorry for the long question!

Keep up the great podcast, and waiting for my babby to form,
Fred McNanner

Hello podcast crew,

Just one question for you:

What would you say if Legend of Zelda's Theme was changed to resemble a more industrial look of the early 1500's? Where the bow and arrow would be replaced with the crossbow, swords where still heavily used. Temples could be large abandoned factories with large complex gear mechanic puzzles to unlock corridors.

Thanks and have a good one.
RIP Fatal Frame (2001 - 2006) Your now partying with all the other good horror games that have come and gone.

Next: Armored Core V, PSvita (Gravity Rush and lumines bitch.) and RE:Revelations.

Re: GoNintendo Podcast Questions

Postby MrThee » 08 Jul 2011 20:20

Hello lo lo podcast crew! Got a question for you that'll require a bit of setup.

At E3 (2011), Reggie Fils-Aime illustrated the consumers' thoughts toward innovation with this statement:
Look, we here you. You want what you've always wanted, but you also want something new. You want to play things and things to look like they always have, but you want the buzz of the new. You want comfortable and surprise.

Innovation is a tool necessary to move the industry forward, but I've noticed that many producers and designers are having trouble keeping their current properties feeling fresh. I feel that the innovations that best keep a franchise fresh are those that can be described by the consumer as "Things that I never knew I had wanted." These can be innovations or tweaks that the player never sees coming but are very easily accepted.

So my question to you, podcastian crew, is this: What are some innovations or tweaks in games that you'd describe as "Things that you never knew you had wanted" or "Things that you'd never expect to enjoy"? I couple of things that I never expected to enjoy were the Spinner item from Twilight Princess, or the ability to back out of a dozen menus in Pokemon Black and White with the touch of a single icon.

I cannot believe I got in, and forget my login info in the same night. I need to be more active on the threads. Anyway, I have long wondered a few things, what are everyone's first experiences with RPGS (what are the games, and how do they rank in your all time favorite list today) and what do you guys think of the original Dragon Warrior for NES... It is my all-time favorite and I have seen it called a random number generator with a GUI, do you guys feel the way RPGs have evolved has added anything to the experience?

2nd: RMC, I would like to hear your ideas on the roots of the word "platformer" I have long suspected that the word wasn't initially used to describe the platform jumping gameplay of the genre but rather the fact that these titles were often flagships for the mascots of the system they were on, the platform being the hardware (i.e., Genesis, NES, etc.) Is me seeing Mario and Sonic as platform games in the sense of their systems rather than their gameplay wrong?

What franchise(first or third party) would you most like to see make an appearance on the Wii U and why? What would make that franchise work so well with the console's features?

Remember earlier this year when RMC PROMISED that he would have the first episode of Sprite Rippers Season 2 done and posted to the site by his birthday?? Yeah, me too. :sad face:

C'mon RMC don't be like Nintendo, the fans want it - release it!

sorry all.. the thread's been open for ages, but they keep having shows that don't answer your questions. make sure you email RMC and let him know your dissatisfaction! until they start catching up, we have to close the thread for awhile.

explaining the pokemon at the start of the show should not exceed the amount of time answering questions!

Hello again podcasters.... first quick question: around the table, what is everyone's favorite NON-PIZZA food.

A gaming follow up, How often do the men amongst you choose to play a female character in a game if given a choice? Mom brain, if you have a choice, are you naturally inclined to play as a female or is a male character an option? Does there have to be a strong benefit to picking the opposite sexed character? I just wonder if the reality escape gaming offers has its limits or are we willing to really experience a different perspective.

Lastly, "Deux's Butt Nut" should be on a gonintendo banner for when he is heading up the site, or maybe it would make a good t-shirt, it could become the official gonintendo uniform and you could force everyone to wear them when podcasting, then adjust the live stream to not show your heads, just your shirts, let the IRC guess who is talking... I see a drinking game here... #1 Dan Dan Dan Dan Fan Fan

Postby MSU_CokeBoi » 25 Sep 2011 14:31

Hey Podcast crew,

Im just curious, do you consider the innovations Nintendo has made in the industry as gimmicks? Im talking about things such as motion control, portable/console touchscreen gaming, and stereoscopic 3D. Reading other blogs, and listening to other podcast, I hear this A LOT, especially with the Wii U news from E3.

And at what point does something cross the line of innovation, and enter the category of being a gimmick? Or do you think it's on a per game basis?

Thanks for answering! Keep up the great work!

Good News Podcast Crew!

Rhyno's back with another questiom for you all.

Nintendo recently mentioned that they're preparing good things for the Wii in 2011. If you could have anything for the Wii's "final year," what would you like to see?

Thanks for being so awesome!

first- they called it the wii.
then there were rumors of calling it the stream.. hmm..
naturally people called it the wii 2 which would make it the wii wii?

in the end they settled on Wii U, which is my wii?.. Oh come on nintendo, grow up!

so what are your thoughts on the other next gen console names? will it be the ps4? surely the xbox won't be xbox 720!

Re: GoNintendo Podcast Questions

Postby hakkai » 26 Sep 2011 03:42

Hey podcasters it's been months since I last posted...This is a long one so you might want to save it for an opening question...

Let's get started

1.I'm sorry I always start so serious. So I'm in a real dilemma. I've been in love with Nintendo since the nes days and have never a problem getting a Nintendo system before. But the WiiU has me worried. The Wii was a good system buy it could have been a hundred times if it weren't for Nintendo making a lot of weird decisions this gen. The 3DS coming out 1/2 done didn't help. So now I'm like Nintendo has to prove something to me before I jump on board. So am I right in thinking these thoughts, that they have to really make up for all their faux pas this gen, or am I just worried over nothing and it's Nintendo they always deliver?...

2. Do you think it was right of Nintendo to pick the games for the ambassador program for you? I would have preferred it if they just gave you $70 in store credit to buy whatever you wanted. Personally I didn't like any of the Nes games they choose and not too many of the speculated GBA games...

3. And finally something light hearted. Do you guys watch any subbed anime? Subbed as in Japanese language and english subtitled

Okay Kirby I got 2 good ones...and do you really not like me substituting you guys in for characters, I thought it made it funnier, but if you don't like it I'll stop...
Hint: Rawmeat really enjoyed the Wii adaption when he played at E3 once

"What a complete amateur you are, couldn't you tell? You've been getting crushed by your own bankai spirtitul pressure, every bone in your body is creaking from the strain, you really are a hopeless case...heh...so I'll show you HOW I USE THIS BANKAI Ahahaha" (hollow Ichigo talking to Ichigo, Bleach)

Woman:"You miss me?" Guy:"No, you bitch" ( Diva and I can't remember the name of the guy, Blood+)

Well later guys until then, jack out Megaman!...

Hey! Irritating Stick here with more mind-bending mysteries for the podcast crew to solve.

1. Enough of these silly 3DS ports! Name one franchise Nintendo or not you would like to see rebooted on the 3DS. (F-Zero all the way!)

2. What sort of revisions would you guys like to see for the inevitable 3DS lite, i, or whatever Nintendo decides to tack on the end?

3. Lastly, been reading a lot of Star Wars books lately. Who is your favorite character from the extended universe? (Definitely Thrawn :) )

Thanks, keep up the awesome podcasting, and have a better one!
