I really wanted to love this game more. I still enjoyed the game but the controls and camera really needed to be tweaked more before they released the game. Also, it didn't help that Warren Specter was tooting his own horn so much about the different ending you could get that depended on the choices you made in the game. When I found out that the game endings only differed by a still picture of characters, I am glad I didn't go play the game again to get the 'evil ending'.

Also, I firmly believe that no game is perfect, even if its something small that could be improved. For example, Super Metroid's wall jumping could be greatly improved. A Link to the Past could use some method of reminding you what you are supposed to be doing, like just a little reminder system...i think something like this should be added to most games too. It also should have improved hit zones. There have been so many times that I have been trying to kill those little red lightning jellyfish and its just so hard to kill them even though my sword would go right over them. Small stuff like that...

1. Get rid of the Fluzzard levels.
2. Delete that awful boss rush galaxy that copies and pastes from the vastly-inferior first game. For that matter, delete Whomp's Fortess, too.
3. Nix all of the The Chimp challenges that do not specifically revolve around jumping (i.e., most of them).
4. Ditch the terribly-designed Giant Bowser battles. Every single one of them.
5. Take out crud stars that revolve around stupid stuff like burning crates or combing over level nooks and crannies.
6. Remove that fat purple slob who is always nagging the player about taking a break or recharging batteries.
7. Spring Mario and anything that revolves around him should also take a hike.
8. Ditto for requiring 9999(!!) worthless starbits to unlock the very last star.
Why Nintendo insisted on filling what would otherwise be the perfect platformer with all manner of extraneous junk is something which I will never understand.
