Also, Metal Mario? Wtf. They should change how alternate skins work. Either make it an alternate costume of the character or make it like Zelda/Shiek in Brawl. Why would they give Metal Mario his own spot? :/

Now that I think about it, alt costumes(NOT OWN SLOTS) for characters would be pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure that is the case. I only recall Retro working on one course (possibly more), but not really any more than that. I think RMC was the one who started the whole "codeveloped" thing (I think he still believes that Retro is doing most of it) and it seems to have spread to absolutely everywhere.

On the side note, I'm very glad they decided to leave the blue shell as it originally was. The damn winged thing was both annoying and completely useless unless you were in second place.

Wait.. I thought it was agreed that metal is NOT an item (unless that's not what you mean by power-up?) and that metal mario was an actual character? The dev interview if anything told us that Metal Mario was a "New Character" along with lakitu.

this should be correct, based on the post-show interview content. metal mario is a standalone character as is lakitu... unless lakitu is also an object (it isn't).

I'd definitely want a group community here, since it's pretty much the only game-based community I'm at right now(a group for the people I know at dA would be nice too, but being art-based it's not like most of them have a 3DS in the first place).

It's not like I have the game preordered though, so I'll have to just hope I can grab one at Wal-Mart on launch day. Or some day after if it's really that popular, gah.

Actually, Retro did, if memory serves me right, most of the "retro" tracks because Nintendo wanted the game out by the end of this year.
