Is anyone else watching this?

The weird thing about this is that there are no mainstream news sources following this. I've heard more about Michael Jackson in the last few weeks than I have about any of this. My friend said she saw them touch on the subject at CNN, but it wasn't covered like a real news story. You'd think people getting arrested in mass on the Brooklyn Bridge would be news worthy.

Are you really surprised that the media isn't covering this? You can't really get "real" news from watching TV anymore. Our country cares more about celebrities and sports than it does about anything else.... I would love to see a revolution of some sorts. I'm tired of these bankers and giant corporations controlling everything around the world.

You're right, I was hoping that maybe we'd be better than this, but it seems like everyone is afraid of change. About 700 people were arrested yesterday and still nothing.

Occupy my couch!

There hasn't been a lot of turnout for this event, but that's good because I don't have enough potato chips for everyone...

^Yeah, there's a big one in Boston. I'm all for changing the economy and bringing down the fat cats or whatever, but I don't think their methods are going to be met with positive results, especially since only the opposite has happened thus far.

There are really only two ways of doing this, peacefully or by force. I'd rather they sit in than shoot their guns at the banks. Although....

I support the cause and idea of what they're doing strongly. I just wish that, like with all movements, there weren't some cringe worthy idiots who show up at these protests and basically undermine the whole point by acting silly as hell.

There's a smaller one going on in London now I think. I support the general principles behind the movement, but I don't really understand what specific policies they want putting in place in order to get the changes they want.
