I imagine they'll do a Character Backstory Comic like with the PS3 version, but it'd still be too late at that point.

Also, Suda 51's game will be No More Heroes 3. Your controller will be your save room/toilet. Watch.

Better late than never! :o

Anyways GOTY edition is good and maybe it will have added features or DLC! (or a bundle of ME2 and ME3).

I think if Developers were smart (IF they were, they may not be), to combat the issue with multiplatform releases early on in the Wii U's life-cycle, assuming it'd be fall 2012, Wii U games should have Day 1 DLC free on the disc.

This would do a couple things:
#1 - Bring an incentive to buy a product on the Nintendo platform over others in case they want to cross over
#2 - Assure that all content is available multiplatform Day 1 in case Nintendo's downloadable shop is not available on Day 1

Now while this practice would definitely not continue going forward for long, it's still something they should do in order to assure maximum sales potential across all platforms. I'm not saying it will happen either. I'm just saying it'd be good business to throw a chew toy out there early on.

Yeah, I think they will probably put 'something' to entice people to buy it. DLC would be a great deal, also maybe new modes, better FPS and whatnot! (and of course controls...) It would really sell!

I think Nintendo needs to include a Wiimote and a Nunchuck in the box for developers to use them. As it stands, companies only seem to develop for the U Pad.

I hope they allow for CC support as well since the Pro is awesome.

As for needing to play Mass Effect 1 & 2 to enjoy 3, I'm not so sure. I played 2 without playing 1 & didn't feel lost or confused in the slightest.

In this day and age, I'd think the kind of people that would play those AAA shooters can simply check youtube or faqs to check the story of prequels. If the people does play these games for its single player modes.

It's more about 'I have a save file of every game in this series on 1 system' vs. 'how much will it save me to lose this perk?'

Well, a bit of a downer guys. I have to take BF3 of the list, in light of the recent news. Mind you, all they said was that there is nothing concrete, so who knows (maybe they will announce it later ddddd).

Also, maybe this will shut up the 'oh no, Wii U has a Ton of ports' crowd. So know only one game is a port (Batman: AC)

ya know, besides darksiders, ghost recon, aliens, metro, and ninja gaiden.

that's not even including pikmin and dq10, which are most likely going to be wii ports.

DQ10 WiiU is cross-platform compatible with Wii, so it obviously has to be mostly similar in content to allow that; both games must have similar online, items, quests, enemies, characters, locations, etc. The only changes we should expect are purely graphical. So basicaly, it will be a port.
Pikmin started as a Wii game, but then Miyamoto commented that HD would improve the game, so it was adapted for WiiU. How much it was changed (or if it ever was a wii game to begin with) may never be known.

Why do I have to repeat myself :?: . Those are multiplatform games, so far they will come out for Wii U the same date as for other consoles! Pikmin will be Pikmin 3, entirely new game, don'y know were you got port out of it and DQ10 we don't know about yet. So yeah only One port, many multiplatform games.

what? every one of those games will be out before the wiiu. and even still, all versions will probably be ports of the 360 version. multiplatform = 1 lead platform and x ports, no one develops all the versions in parallel, that would be financial suicide. I'm guessing you don't know what a port really is. Here is an example, the PC/ps3 versions of MW3 are ports of the 360 version, even though they are releasing the same day.

and what I mean with pikmin and dq10 being ports of the wii versions... it's like twilight princess(which was a port of the gcn version), they aren't going to throwaway all that work they did on the wii versions(I have to assume that pikmin 3 was in the works for wii). So they take those games and up port them to the wiiu. adding enhancements as time permits.

And that is the problem with your argument, you assume.

Now all those games are out by 2012 Q1, Q2... ect and since we do not know when the Wii U will come out, then for now they release at the same time than the other versions.

About ports, yeah no game is made in parallel, but what everyone says when they say port is a game that releases later on another platform with no added content whatsoever. If it releases the same day it's a multiplatform release no matter what console was the lead hardware because even though it was 'ported' from the lead console it plays on the others strengths (better visuals, controls, ect.).

BTW: I'm almost certain Pikmin 3 won't be a port, they probably were working on it for Wii U for about a year or more and again Miyamoto himself said it was a game which would benefit from good visuals. It won't be a port.

Hey guys, we got new info on LEGO City Stories! Extremely excited for this game!

http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co. ... s-awesome/

TT Games director (Parsons) says from what he has seen of the game it looks awesome. It includes running around the city, catching bad guys, you can do stunts, jumps; there are also lots of vehicles and characters in the game!

Sounds great! Reminds me of Lego Island, I loved that game! XD What do you guys think or expect from the game?

All the Lego games I've played have been good! And most were licensed (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ect.) so the good thing about this one is that it is not licensed. I remember playing Lego Island 2, Lego Alpha Team and Lego Racers, they were incredible games. It will probably have things like in Lego Universe (an MMO), which is also great.

(Also maybe 3DS and Wii U connectivity).

I think if it's just GTA:Lego, it will be a worthwhile game. if they put some effort into it, it could be a nice quality title. the previous lego games haven't been letdowns, so I have decent hopes for this.

I can't wait to see what Retro Studios has been working on. I hope it's either StarFox, F-zero, or most probably the continuation of Prime 3. Even if it is a new IP it will be gorgeous with Wii U tech. I also hope that Valve and Rockstar support it.

Completely agree! It will probably an already established IP. But if they could make Metroid Prime beautiful on the GC, which still looks gorgeous today, imagine what they will do with more power! (head 'splode!)

BTW: Rockstar I'm iffy about, but Valve (Gabe Newell) has said some very nice things about Wii U.

Halflife 1,2,3 on a disc,i would buy but as for retro i think the game they are working on is metroid, its gonna work well on that pad.
As for Starfox i would like to see the game in 2 halfs, one a single player graphical master piece and two a 32 player download only game and play similar to ps3's warhawk.

Just to add Dice's comment on BF3 is due to 2011/2012 sales i dont think they want people holding out for a superior wii u version i think its coming to wii u?

if people want the superior version of bf3 they will get the pc version that comes out this week. no one is going to hold out for a wiiu version.

I bet that the wiiu will probably be out in time to get a version of BF3:BC when that inevitably comes out.

Add Sonic Dimensions, aka the game where Sonic went and became his own horrible friend.

I know it's a rumor, but when is a rumored Sonic game not real?

Why do you want to know what Monolith is working on, when their last game hasn't been brought to NOA (I am assuming you live in US :) )? And they have now abandoned the Fire Emblem (my favorite series from Nintendo) series in the US, so I see no games that make me feel like I have to, or will ever get a WiiU. I have no confidence in NOA, at all. Why should I care about Pikmin when they wouldn't even release the second game here?

Retro, yeah, that's about the only thing that intrigues me, but we all know it's just Donkey Kong HD. I wouldn't buy a WiiU just for that.

Zelda is 3-5 years away, why is it even on your list? Same with Smash Bros., forget about those two games being released any time soon.

Yes I am grumpy, disappointed, call it whatever you want. They better get their act together is all I have to say, or they will lose fans who are all too willing to give them money, for the right kind of games.

Why don't you just split the list into "Officially Announced" and "Rumored"?

It would make it easier and allow you to include more games :)
