gtt wrote:what? every one of those games will be out before the wiiu. and even still, all versions will probably be ports of the 360 version. multiplatform = 1 lead platform and x ports, no one develops all the versions in parallel, that would be financial suicide. I'm guessing you don't know what a port really is. Here is an example, the PC/ps3 versions of MW3 are ports of the 360 version, even though they are releasing the same day.
and what I mean with pikmin and dq10 being ports of the wii versions... it's like twilight princess(which was a port of the gcn version), they aren't going to throwaway all that work they did on the wii versions(I have to assume that pikmin 3 was in the works for wii). So they take those games and up port them to the wiiu. adding enhancements as time permits.
And that is the problem with your argument, you assume.
Now all those games are out by 2012 Q1, Q2... ect and since we do not know when the Wii U will come out, then for now they release at the same time than the other versions.
About ports, yeah no game is made in parallel, but what everyone says when they say port is a game that releases later on another platform with no added content whatsoever. If it releases the same day it's a multiplatform release no matter what console was the lead hardware because even though it was 'ported' from the lead console it plays on the others strengths (better visuals, controls, ect.).
BTW: I'm almost certain Pikmin 3 won't be a port, they probably were working on it for Wii U for about a year or more and again Miyamoto himself said it was a game which would benefit from good visuals. It won't be a port.
Hey guys, we got new info on LEGO City Stories! Extremely excited for this game!
http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co. ... s-awesome/TT Games director (Parsons) says from what he has seen of the game it looks awesome. It includes running around the city, catching bad guys, you can do stunts, jumps; there are also lots of vehicles and characters in the game!
Sounds great! Reminds me of Lego Island, I loved that game! XD What do you guys think or expect from the game?
All the Lego games I've played have been good! And most were licensed (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ect.) so the good thing about this one is that it is not licensed. I remember playing Lego Island 2, Lego Alpha Team and Lego Racers, they were incredible games. It will probably have things like in Lego Universe (an MMO), which is also great.
(Also maybe 3DS and Wii U connectivity).
