I hate Hate HATE Hillery Clinton.
The way I see it in a nut shell (even though there are many other reasons besides this one) if she makes bad decisions on who she marries, what makes her think she will do any better with the usa. You have to be stupid to think it is okay for your husband to cheat on you, or the marrage is fake to begin with.

The majority of the Republican candidates scare me. No, really, they seriously scare me, Romney and Huckabee especially. I don't think Ron Paul's vision is at all feasible nor desirable, but it appeals to young voters who want "change" (a common sentiment shared among most Americans; you can thank Bush for that) without actually understanding what it would mean for us or the country.

If I had to live with a Republican candidate, I guess I could go with McCain or Giulianni. It's kind of a moot point, though, considering we're not going to have a Republican president. There's just no way, I can't see it happening at all.

Really, honestly... I'd say the real presidential election is happening right now with the primaries. It's going to be either Obama or Clinton... with a small possibility of Edwards (but I doubt it).

I like Obama... really, I do. However, he just has no experience, simple as that. He runs on the banner of "Change" (sound familiar?), but doesn't go beyond generic promises. He's an absolutely fantastic speaker, one who can incite passion in people... but that's it. There's nothing backing it up. People respond to his speeches, his promise for change, and that's it. And then, he's got big supporters like Oprah and such, but if I may say so without sounding racist, I think that has to do more with his race than anything (I'm speaking mostly about Oprah here... don't really know why I'm bringing it up).

Obama would make an amazing president. Err, he will make an amazing president... someday. No doubt about it. Just... not yet. Wait until he's got a little more experience. Unfortunately, people will probably vote for him just because it's the new bandwagon, just like with Bush. I agree with Joeofmars on that point (although... I don't think he would be NEARLY as bad as Bush... that's a pretty tall order).

So that leaves Hillary, who I think would make a fantastic president, for so many reasons. I really hope she wins... but that will depend on who gets the democratic nominee.

And after tonight's New Hampshire debate... I think Hillary was AMAZING, she has a good shot now after losing momentum with Iowa. Far and away the best of the four at the debate, followed by Edwards. Obama really floundered, surprisingly. And nobody cares about Richardson (why the hell was he even there?!).

I hope people were able to see through Obama's rhetoric and see that he really didn't say anything at all... but people are so susceptible to BS and passionate speeches about generic change these days, I just don't know. (Really, senator? Words? We can ignore all the points made against you because you have the power of words? [Actually, with Obama, that may be all he needs... :( ])

-------

Couple comments:

"I hate Hate HATE Hillery Clinton. "

I hear this from a lot of people, and I'm genuinely curious. Why is there so much passionate hate for Hillary? I wouldn't mind it so much if people actually gave a reason for their hate, but it's usually just because they "can't stand that f'ing bitch." And that's it.

If anybody else dislikes Clinton, I won't attack you (probably won't post after this), but I just want to hear why. And please, make it in regards to policy.

For example, with Isaac... that's pretty poor reasoning. First, disregarding the specifics, I don't see how any of that relates to being a good president or leader, especially when the person has a long record of skill, success, and experience.

Second, Bill Clinton was awesome. (At least, I think he was, which means it's a fact. :P) I think he'd be a pretty good choice for a husband.

Third, you're a fool if you think marriages are all perfect.

Fourth, what, just because of relationship problems, we should INSTANTLY turn to any other candidate, regardless of qualifications (or lack thereof)?

Last, again, how is this relevant? "What makes her think she will do any better with the USA?"

....Are you suggesting the United States are going to cheat on Hillary? (Actually, I shouldn't be saying anything, but last week I saw America with its Florida shoved up that whore France! Scandalous! Oh, but Mum's the word!)

I kid, I kid. It's just... I'd like to see a bit more reasoning back up statements like yours. And the reason I pick on you is because... I feel like a lot of Americans have a similar mindset, and it makes me a little depressed...

(D'oh, that was probably even more offensive >.<)

"i do not wish for hillary clinton to win because i think she will make guns illegal and i won't be able to go hunting then."

Okay.

Sorry, but I had to. From last night's debate...

Image

Priceless.

BTW

"Hillary better lose after what she about banning our voilent games if she was president."

If I remember correctly, it wasn't banning violent video games, but "banning" the sale of violent video games to minors. Technically, that system is already in place, just not enforced. (Actually, I remember when I was refused from purchasing Geist because I was sixteen... That game never had a chance. But that's OT.) Stricter fines and whatnot is what she advocated, which I can agree with.

Is alcohol "banned" in America just because I, as a minor, can't purchase it? Same deal.

I'm not typically into politics and don't really care to understand them, but, I plan to be voting because I may not care about politics but I do care if the country goes to hell. (although, things can only go up from here  )

Anyways, having said that, I think Obama is my choice. Hilary is an idiot and most republican candidates make me go wtf. Obama just seems to be the only guy capable of doing an alright job.

So far, from what I've read, I really hope Ron Paul wins.

I don't want to throw away my first vote EVER though.

Please tell me if there is absolutely no way that he could win. (and why)

My parents are big democrats, and they want me to vote for a democrat. Please tell me some people I would like.

Me:
Pro choice
Against the war
want lower or no income tax.
Not against gay marriage (lol, I'm not say I am supporting)
Wants something done to close the border
Wants change
2nd amendment won't really affect my life if the laws are more strict

Haha. :)

Hilary is an idiot...

This is what I was talking about before.

Diabolicscheme, you're entitled to your own opinion, and I'm not one for arguing, but I never hear a person's reasoning for disliking Hillary. I wouldn't mind it so much if I actually knew why. I feel like the whole world just wants to hate Hillary for the hell of it, and I didn't get the memo.

Again, I'm not going to fight anyone. I just feel left in the dark.

BTW, I also like Obama. I just wish they'd save him for a future election, where he'd be even more badass (and lacking in any possible naivete or inexperience).

Please tell me if there is absolutely no way that he could win. (and why)

Ron Paul is pretty interesting, but I fear his chances of winning are as likely as his policies actually working as smoothly as they look on paper. Like I said, though, he does resonate well with the internet crowd and especially the younger generation. Not many Republicans can say that.

Why? He's not getting any momentum; the primary results seem to indicate he's not going to be the nominee -- he only got two delegates from them so far. He's proposing far too radical of changes that are NOT going to sit well with the majority of the nation (especially the Republicans). The people that tend to want any change at all (liberals and Democrats) are likely going to vote for the Democrat nominee.

Plus, his foreign policy alone will keep him locked out of the White House for good. (What are we, Goldoa?)

My parents are big democrats, and they want me to vote for a democrat. Please tell me some people I would like.

Haha, it's funny how these things always correlate. Nintendo, Macs, liberalism... it's like they are all tied together to some core character trait. :P

Anyway, you seem pretty similar to me. (Although I'm probably a bit more left than you, I'd imagine.) However, you probably shouldn't ask us who you would like -- go and see for yourself what everyone has to offer. That's the best way to go about it. Read about what they are for, what they have done, what they are advocating, and what their biggest criticisms are. I'd recommend watching the debates, for one. See who tickles your fancy after an hour or two. ;)

Of course, I want Hillary to win. However, from what you described, you probably won't like any Republicans besides Ron Paul. (You know he's very pro-gun, right? I can't tell whether that would impact your opinion of him or not.)

I predict you'll end up voting Democrat, like your parents. Probably Obama, for the reasons I mentioned in my first post. He'll probably appeal to you the most.

But don't take my word for it. Make sure you research the candidates for yourself.

Well, I was thinking about it and I thought that guns are necessary.

Example:

you (with legal gun) defending yourself against a person with a legal gun

or

You (with no gun) defending yourself against a person who illegally obtained a gun.

The person that is shooting at you doesn't care that he is breaking the gun ban laws, in fact, he wants to kill a person too. They will have guns no matter what. The innocent public needs protection.

I am about to look at obama and hilary clinton's stuff on youtube. I hope I don't like what I hear/see because I really like ron paul. XD

I am (not against) but extremely scared of hillary from pictures I've seen of her.

This picture gives me nightmares.

Has anyone heard yet? California wants the government to control the tempature of their homes! Is that NOT crazy? Even worse, something else is trying to be passed through the government that would allow them to moniter the emails, web browsing, and files of EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN at their will. The governent seems to be creeping it's tentacles over the entire nation until they have total control over everyone and everything! Scary.

What is scarier is what will happen if Hillary is elected president. That keeps me up at night.
