No no no no no no no. This is the exact reason why its been over 100 days since we got any "new" VC games. They oversaturated the Wii Shop during its first year, people only bought like 3 or 4 games, if any, and now people are complaining that there are no more games to play on the Wii Shop.

Veitch11 wrote:While I do agree that the back-catalogue should be there day one, and not a big deal, they need to flaunt it big time and keep supporting it. New games should be the focus, but they need them in bigger amounts! The 3DS has a nice thing going, but something bigger would be much nicer. Also, we'll NEVER see $1 NES games, $1.50 SNES games, etc. That'd be ridiculously cheap, and even I believe they're worth more than that....

Yeah I don't think so, Nintendo has done the upscaling for you, look at the Wii's VC they made them all 480i/p. I guess they will make them all go to 720p/1080i/p without the price r**e.
$4 for NES $6 SNES $ 9 N64 $15 GameCube, On sale in same order, $2 $4 $6 $8.
I hope we get a bundle for the Mario Party games 1-3 $17 4-7 $30-45

Even if Nintendo wanted to adopt that price setup, I doubt every other third party would be so generous. You think Activision-Blizzard wouldn't take advantage of the price StarCraft 64 is at currently? Or if Tecmo thought Ninja Gaiden 3 was worth less than $15?
Or even Bandai wouldn't extort as much as they could for Stadium Events?

that is done in the emulator. a one time labor expense. not justification for outrageous pricing.
explain to me how any NES rom is worth more than 1$. go on, I'll wait.

$15 for Nintendo 64 ROMs as well!

Eh...Banjo-Kazooie is an enhanced remake. And considering the game's quality (note: I got it for free with N&B pre-order) I'd say it's worth it. Tooie is just a bad game, and they didn't show the same love and care for it like they did the original, so it's not worth $15 IMO. Perfect Dark, however, was $10 only, had online multiplayer and brought in the Goldeneye weapons to break the game. Moronic.

Also, about pricing of games on the Wii U shop. Let's all take into consideration that NES games on the 3DS (that have been given the "3D" treatment) are 6 bucks. I know that it's because they enhanced it for 3D, but if we'll be getting VC games that can output to HD that's somewhat of a reason that Nintendo would have to raise prices "Get Wind Waker HD for $15!" and so on and so forth.

I'm sorry, no. I'm not paying a premium on what will be 30 year old NES roms because nintendo decided to code some up-scaling into their emulator. and especially if they don't get a persistent account system in place.
