Even IF the other consoles are "more powerful", which remains to be seen (I'd think Sony especially should have learned their lesson about overpowering and thus overpricing the PS3, costing them a LOT of money with lack of sales for the first couple years). It won't matter much.
The Wii U is coming out first. 3rd parties will be on board, they already are. We've already gotten confirmation of several such games being made for the system, such as Darksiders II, Arkham City, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Assassin's Creed III, Dragon Quest X, Ninja Gaiden 3, etc. I mean what more do you want? Those are specifically the types of games that many on here lamented Wii not getting. I'm sure it'll be getting games like RE6 and such as well. No reason not to, especially with all the RE games they've been putting out on 3DS. Point being, it WILL have good support, because it's got enough power to keep developers happy about multiplatform gaming. PLUS it'll have the coveted Nintendo first party games, and because of it's controller, no doubt third party exclusives as well.

But there are many questions about the Wii U unanswered:
- Will the third party developers ditch the Wii U once the so called XBOX 720 or PlayStation 4 is released worldwide?
- Is the current third party library for the Wii U enough to convince both the rest of the third party developers and the core gamers to either develop for the Wii U or buy the Wii U?

I've died and gone to YouTube.
So, this site seems convinced that it was Epic that made the Japanese Garden demo, though I think it was misinterpreted. Mark Rein posted a few tweets during E3 that make it seem like it was them who made it, but I'm inclined to believe he was referring to Arkham City & Colonial Marines unless Epic or Nintendo come out and confirm.
Only reason I bring it up is I missed those Tweets before, so now I'm a bit more interested in what Epic and/or Ninty has to show at GDC. Also, this.

Damn it if this thing is underpowered it will be (dare I say it) DOOMED.

Mainly it's the whole "360/PS3 ports will have to be nerfed" thing that stinks. If he had said the system was more or less a repackaged 360, it would be considerably easier to swallow. The fact of the matter is that plenty of devs have stated no concessions will need to be made to port to the Wii U. Arkam claims very matter-of-fact-ly that these statements are lies.
I'm not saying anyone is lying. Maybe their software takes advantage of what the wiiu brings to the table. Our games do not. The only thing that I will say is untrue are the rumors of it being 5x the Xbox 360. It's much closer to 1x if anything. I think a lot of you guys on here oversanalyze things. Just because it isn't as powerful doesn't mean the games look bad... More that they won't look much better than what is currently out on 360/ps3. Ok I'll let you get back to flaming me for being nice and sharing some info.

There was a separated user there, also verified, that said their studio was quite disappointed with WiiU specs.
