Well there are lots of costs in games. I would say maybe they will get cheaper when they all go digital but how much do they cost on steam?

I could see Wii U games going for $60. The system itself is going to be more powerful than the PS3/360 so the games themselves will be higher quality and could justify the $60 price tag. I just pre-ordered Tales of Graces f today and that right there is $60USD. The reason Wii games are cheaper is because they're not as high quality in terms of build when compared to 360/PS3 games.

I'd say $300 for the system its self. Anything higher and it will really depend on how much money I have when it comes out, but I'll get it eventually it will only be a matter of when.
So is it offical that this thing isn't going to have a hard drive? If so I can't imagine buying a new SD card for every full retail game I download on it, assuming Nintendo would even sell full games. I'm trying not to get too hyped because after the 3DS (first time a bought a system on launch day) I learned it is really the games that I'll play on it that matter anyway.

I really do not want more than $300. I'm just wondering how much flash they could put in.

I'm willing to pay $400 for the console, especially if it's going to be future proof (i.e. be able to compete with the PS4/720 on a graphical level). Somehow, I have a feeling I'll be dishing out about $900 dollars this fall when the Wii U is released (console + games).

And that doesn't even include the new HD tv I will be buying for my Wii U. My current tv is 30" and 480p. I aim on getting a 55" 1080p tv, maybe 60" if I find a good deal later this year.

I could not see Nintendo charging more than $300. It just isn't in their business sense. They are not Sony or M$, who make billions from their other endeavors, and can afford to have their consoles lose money for the first two or three years while they overcharge. Nintendo has always been economical, and wanting their products to be "affordable", so while I do believe this new tablet tech is going to cost them $$$$, I don't see the system being more than $250-300 at launch. Minus the cost of games, of course, though I also expect them to have it bundled with something, the way Wii was with Wii Sports.

I'd love it if that New Super Mario Bros. Mii tech demo game actually became real. I'd see that sell so many damn systems it'd be NUTS. Especially seeing as Wii U is more than likely a November release. It'd make the 3DS and Wii U clean house this holiday season.

No way :( it would be extremely cheap if Nintendo did that, that demo of NSMB Mii was just the same game as it was on the Wii, with just Mii's, it's practically the same game, plus It would not sell as great as it's predecessor. with all the newest capabilities of the Wii U and better shaders and such it would be wise on Nintendo's part to create a new style that fits well for the Wii U. I would expect something better and different to the new series. but Nintendo did say it was just a tech demo.

It was just a demo. The whole point was to show a game using separate tablet controllers as the screens, I suppose.

I wouldn't MIND, necessarily, if they did this as a real game, though they would have to make all new levels, at least, for me. I personally think that NSMBWii is more or less perfect, except for not having the Racoon/Tanooki/Korubo's Shoe. But it really took the best elements of SMB 1, 2, 3 and World, and had enough new ideas sprinkled in to make it both nostalgic and fresh. I feel like the DS game was more of a dress rehearsal, whereas the Wii game felt more like an honest to God sequel to Mario World. At the end of the day though, playing Miis in a Mario game would be kind of pointless, because I'd just want to play the Mario characters.

So far, New Super Mario Bros Mii is technically the only confirmed Wii U game by Nintendo. Nintendo said in interviews after E3 that it is a real game, and that it is in the early stages. Also, if you go to http://e3.nintendo.com/hw/#/software (the e3 site for Nintendo) Nintendo put New Super Mario Bros. Mii as a game coming out for the system(again the only one). The game is real, and is planned to be coming out. There is a chance that the game will look different the next time we see it (because it was in the early stages when they showed it off last time), and since fan reaction has been so mixed about it, I think there is also a slight chance that it could get canned....but, as of right now, this game is a real thing.

that's odd; nearly every chance they could during the show, nintendo stressed that NSMB Mii was NOT an actual game, but was a quickly put together demo mainly to show off mario in HD and some possible interaction ideas (the mii's) with something familiar.

i wouldn't be surprised if a game or something like it is in the works, but after just checking their official press site; there is nothing listed for wii u games, which tells me nothing has been officially announced (not including stuff people might have said in interviews). not even a whisper of wii u at gdc, except the one ubisoft announcement; guess we'll be waiting a few more months to hear about whatever big n is working on.

That's because...IT'S NOT CALLED WII U ANYMORE! NAME CHANGE CONFIRM ED EXTREME!!!

But no, don't expect NSMB____ at launch for Wii U because of NSMB3D for 3DS this fall, even if it's real. Nintendo won't release 2 Mario platformers in the same time frame ala NSMBW and SMG2. It's just common sense, people.

I'm thinking $350-$400.

Based on what Iwata said, and it would help put the point across that this is a new console, not an incremental upgrade.

Then again, that didn't really work for the 3DS so what do I know?

If it does everything Nintendo claims, ready out the box, 2 tablet support, and at least 3 of the 5 games I want at launch (batman A.C, killer freaks, pikmin3, A.C3, and, aliens C.M) Then id be willing to pay $349.99-$399.99 Lets not forget Reggie already said it would be "significantly" higher (to me that's at least $100 more) and also that it won't be targeted towards the same audience. But at a (those with higher finances) So I'm thinking that means Nintendo is pulling GREAT console with more power under the hood and a lot of the bells and whistles found on most personal devices these days. I wouldn't be surprised if those tablets run about $79.99-$99.99 You get what you pay for. All that hoping for $250 price tags ain't happening.

since last e3, i have been throwing spare change into my "treasure chest". between accepting cash back when making debit card purchases, using cash as often as possible and picking up change whenever i see it, ive saved up $350 so far. this is genius because when it does come out, i can get it stress free and i havent made my life any more difficult. so, so far, im willing to spend at least 350 but right now.. the price doesnt matter all that much which is a great comfort. who wouldve thought saving money who be so beneficial?! its crazzy!

I'd pay $399 depending but I'm hoping for $299 and think they will go that way, then again I would've sworn the 3DS would release at $199.

If it has a good quad core CPU, and is at least 50% to double more power than my PS3 i'll sell my PS3 towards it, I don't use it anyway. I need to start saving, and I would love if it released in september
