---Hearing about the Super Nintendo in school and in magazines. With 'Super' in the title, I thought it was fake. When I finally saw the Super Mario World commercial, I freaked out!
---Getting my Dreamcast online for the very first time. I didn't own a computer, so I was using the dreamcast to browse the web until I got the Wii, then until I got my own laptop...last year.
---The stupid Wii name. Revolution was a cool one, but after owning the Wii this gen, I don't think it deserves a cool name like that one.
---When I learned of another Densha de Go game being made for the Wii. I honestly thought that Taito was going to resurrect the series, but it turned out to be just an old PS2 port. It wasn't even the latest in the series.
---The Wii's last gen graphics of the Wii. Seriously, everyone I knew that followed video games were also confused about this.

I tried to remain optimistic, but just couldn't do it for very long, because...
---Almost all major 3rd-party games skips the Wii again and again. Back in around 2008 and 2009, I wanted to give up on Wii.
---Waiting year after year, and still no Star Fox, Wave Race, 1080, F-Zero or new Mario Tennis game on the Wii?! They were my favorites on Gamecube!
---A Sakura Wars game FINALLY being released outside of Japan. Hooray!! ...and it's good!
---Xenoblade was announced for North America
---Samurai Warriors III and Sengoku Basara on Nintendo Wii! Nintendo NEVER got those games last gen, so I was really surprised! I still play them.
---Finding the secret rupee room in Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It was an accident, and I didn't know how I did it. I remember leaving the room and being near that tree that those two lumberjacks were humping/sawing near the forest.
---I read about Plok for Super NES back in the 90s in an old video game magazine, but not finding the game in any stores until a year later (at a video rental shop). It was as if the game never existed, then...**P-O-O-F** Magic!
---Same as above, different ending. My brother and I saw Street Fighter Alpha 2 for Super NES in a Nintendo Power magazine. We were deep into the N64 generation, and pretty bummed about missing out on all of the Playstation games (sorta like this generation), so when we saw that game, we were, like, "HOLY CRAP!". Unfortunately, no store had the game except one FuncoLand, who only had the store copy. The Manager allowed us to buy it, and we went home super happy!

Honest to God, we didn't know that Street Fighter Alpha 2 existed on SNES until we re-read our old Nintendo Power magazines that day. It had to have been around 1998.
