Many people were worrying that Ono might step away from Capcom completely due to his health issues, but Ono says not to worry about that at all. Here's his most recent Tweet in response to a fan.

Hahaha yeah! I'm staying when Capcom say me "fire!" until. RT @Traptrox:Plz Don't Leave I Wish U Make a New Power Stone and Darkstalkers.

As soon as Ono gets some rest I'm sure he'll be even better than before.

Just relax for now Ono. Harada can handle Tekken X Street Fighter.

I really hope he stays for a long time, it feels like Capcom has been slowly losing it's more recognizable names since Mikami left (admittedly, Mikami sorta dug his own grave: he said he'd quit Capcom if RE4 got ported to PS2, and little did we know, he was not kidding).

Power Stone = The only reason I went to my friend's house ages ago to play Dreamcast. Almost bought one too just to play this game (Shenmue was a good reason too, but I was addicted to this game. Think SSB. in a 3D arena).
