- being called "Concept Grand Prix"
- in development by Lucid Game
- extremely realistic physics
- controls and gameplay similar to Project Gotham Racing
- start your career working for R&D Division, a fictional automobile manufacturer and concept design provider
- deep car customization element
- build cars from scratch based on concepts provided by car manufacturers
- customize everything from the vehicles individual spark plugs to curing plastics via the Wii U controller
- vehicles are put through R&D Tests
- strong focus on community
- online multiplayer features monthly challenges
- some of these require you to design cars to pass downloadable R&D Tests
- 12-player online racing
- earn points by creating cars and racing them for your company

I don't usually enjoy realistic racing games, but i'll gladly try this one
But...the whole thing doesn't seem very "nintendo". If this info is correct there doesn't seem to be anything to set it apart from the competition. There doesn't seem to be a "nintendo twist" to it like Pikmin was to the RTS genre. It could still be great, but as i said before, i haven't played a racing sim that i really liked. Hopefully this will change that

Yeah, I don't like realistic racing games much, but I can see a lot of uses for the Wii U controller with racing games.

Sounds interesting.... me, I want it to capture the feel of the first Sega-GT game for Dreamcast. I loved the challenge, and the way it was presented was somehow much more interesting than Gran Turismo has ever felt for me. Looking forward to it..

I'd hope for this too. I'd love to recreate some classic muscle cars. 50's, 60's and 70's. Get some convertible Pontiacs racing, it'd be pretty kickass.

Wait, so it won't have actual licensed cars? I'm sorry, but it's hard for me to get excited for a "realistic" racing game if it doesn't even have real cars.

I feel like I've heard this rumor before...could be legit if it's being corroborated. Ssounds like a cool idea if true, certainly a breath of fresh air from the sort of male demographic oriented car-brand worship that usually makes me want to avoid this sort of thing.

As a sucker for creation modes in games...I'm highly interested, and I usually dont get racers outside of F-Zero and Mario Kart...but give me the ability to design and draw out designs using the Touch Screen and I will buy it at a high price.

I like the idea of this... great way to show off the visuals of the Wii U and great way to show off the controller and online. I would gladly support a title like this if the quality is as great as the concept.

Most definitely fake, though it could be cool and it could provide an audience that Nintendo has been missing out on.

To me, though, the major appeal of sim racers like Gran Turismo is being able to drive around in my favorite cars and exotic/supercars on real tracks and see them rendered beautifully.

But I can see some appeal here in this concept.

I hope this is true. The Wii had mostly sucky ass racing games, with only a few decent-to-good racing games to choose from.

Metropolis Street Racer and the Gotham Project Racing games were great. It's about time that they develop a racer for Nintendo home consoles. No one else is going to.

Immediate con for me would be the lack of licensed cars. It's what kept me from trying out Ridge Racer.

However, if the game design revolves around realistic car handling and physics, then maybe I'll stay and see what happens. I'm a sucker for racing sims, and am extremely annoyed that none for PC exist (don't have ps3 or 360 due to a lack of HDTV).

I could go for a good mech game using the Wii U controller for the hud and information, but other than that? I got no interests in realistic racers.

That's easily my favorite "realistic racing game", even though it's basically Mario Kart.

I *love* Blur and was sad that Activision destroyed Bizarre after it. And that GoNintendo got butthurt over an advertisement that would've been the same kinda crap we'd have gotten in the 90s with Sonic or Crash.

I really don't get the feeling it would be a "racing" game proper. This feels more like a "car design" game... like the focus is on the creation and design of the cars, so yeah, licensed cars wouldn't make sense, your job in this game is to INVENT some new cars... And really, I don't even like cars, yet this interest me, BECAUSE of this focus on customization and design.

Not a fan of these style games but I know that there's a pretty huge fanbase for them out there and these style games are something the Wii was didn't have enough of. Hopefully it turns out good so that that audience will be pleased and negative sayings about Nintendo saying their systems don't offer enough variety in types of games will be put to rest.

That would be a good move if they really make it GT quality. Because they totally dropped the ball with GT5, so there is like an empty spot to fill in the industry now.

i don't enjoy realistic game but i choose to believe it's a pgr game and multiplatform , hopefully for them it's the best option . I've been fan of project gotham game since they were called msr , so one on wii u would be quite great .
