Coming from the latest issue of Game Informer...

"Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia says that developers told him the Wii U will have 50 percent more processing power than the Xbox 360 and PS3, but Nintendo hasn't confirmed this rumor."

If anyone has the latest issue of Game Informer, I would appreciate a confirmation/denial of this information.

Half of the time, the so called "anonymous developers" said that the Wii U is slightly less powerful than the XBOX 360/PlayStation 3. And now, the Wii U is 50% more powerful than the XBOX 360/PlayStation 3.

It's like the rumors are switching back and forth.

It all depends on each one's view, knowledge (or lack of), and the kits properties.

So the Wii U was 50% more powerful then 360/PS3, then 6x, then 4x, then 2x, then on par, then weaker, and now back to %50?.

Either Nintendo is making 2 completely different Wii U's (One 6x and one 50%) or every power rumor is 100% FAKE.

Really?, that is just trying to create more drama, It's a rumor and they should of at least put it as maybe not likely because people will now believe a rumor that can be 100% FAKE.

Like i said before the rumors o it being underpowered likely come from people using the gen1 dev kit from what i understand the devkit has seen at least 6 versions and some of these said version have only been seen by major devs.

of course nintendo isn't gonna trust smaller devs with newer devkits...

If we've learned anything over the last several years it's that analyst == phone psychic, much like how meteorologist is just a synonym for liar. They give vague predictions and try and warp reality around them. I wonder if someone with an actual crystal ball or who reads tea leaves might not be able to come up with more reliable predictions.

RMC, its in an article called "Next gen rumor roundup.". GI quotes this guy, then their editors note says, "50 may be a large number but given the age of the ps3 and 360 as well as the possibility that the next xbox could be six times more powerful than the 360, this may be less impressive than it sounds. Rumor probability: likely"
So its just a rumor, again we won't know anything until June...

You cared enough to post. Seriously though, this happens at the launch of every new console (especially Nintendo's) and i for one love every minute of it. The dizzying highs when positive rumors fly and soul crushing, depressing lows when the opposite happens. Its like crack for the hardcore videogamer XD
