The World Ends With You?

Just checked Gamespot, IGN, and 1up, and their reviews are all in the 9/10 range. I didn't really pay much attention to this game, but now I may want to pick this up. Anyone else get it yet?

Game looks awesome, but I'm not getting it for a while. I'm waiting till August when I go on holiday (I usually get a cool portable game for when I'm away). Okami, MarioKart and Brawl are my top priorities at the moment though.

I totally love the style, I think its going to be a love or hate thing. The graphics, on DS look awesome, it has an intriguing concept (one thing I usually look for in games) and the music sounds cool too.

I plan on picking it up either this weekend or next month sometime.
I have a few other things I need to buy but I'm definately excited for this.

I 'ed get it but I just spent my last bit of money on Mario Kart.

My copy arrived in the mail yesterday. I really like it.

It definitely has its faults, but it's solid. I'm not sure I'd give it a 9, but I'd definitely give it at least an 8.

I just watched Gamespot's On the Spot and they said the average person can finish in 10-20 hours. Sounds pretty good for a portable game.

I usaully try to do everything in a game so if the average is 10-20 hours i'd probably be around the 20 (if that average is true). My wish list (for games that are out) Mario kart, and the world ends with you. I love square enix probably one of my fave developers after the BIG N. I just got Okami though and i'm gonna get the world ends with you after Mario kart wii so i'll wait a little. sigh *looks at IGN watermark*

Yeah, I try and do everything in games too. I also take some games stupidly slow. I can quite easily just roam Hyrule Field or Santa Destroy aimlessly for ages. Probably why I have 43hrs currently clocked on No More Heroes and finished Zelda in 62 hours. NMH was only supposed to be a 10 hour game. I'm hoping The World Ends With You is a similar story. As I said before I'm getting it before I go on holiday so I'll probably be playing it a lot, don't want something that I'll finish too soon!

Btw on NMH, 43hrs in and I'm ranked 8th, second play through, this time on bitter - I'll get the 'real' ending this time!

i have it. im on the third day. i agree with a 9 rating. i disagree with rmc not liking the main character. refreshing to play a game that has such astylish art design, off beat characters and interesting (and xhallenging) battle system. my one complaint would be that the touch controls can be a pain in the ass. it took me a while to learn how to work with them. also the music is awesome! j pop at its finest lol.
