Who made the Zelda HD Demo?

Was it ever revealed who made the Zelda HD demo at E3 last year? was it first party or outside of Nintendo? I remember hearing that it took about a month to build but wasn't sure if it was made in house, As I keep having crazy thoughts that maybe Retro made that short demo and are making a Zelda like it, given with all the gossip about Retro at the moment.

It's basically just Twilight Princess art assets taken and polished into a higher resolution and better lighting. I personally don't like Link's model in HD because it looks too weird (I think it's the hair). The lighting looks fantastic though. Probably the best I've ever seen for something using game assets.

Even if Retro is working on Zelda, don't expect anything at E3 this year because it'd be way too early.

Yeah the lighting is pretty impressive, I get what you are saying about the model of Link, though I found the eyes very flat looking, the pupil, eye could be more round looking.

I'm hoping whatever Retro are working on that it might be spoken about at E3 but I'm wishful thinking.

that's who was in charge. as to the studio who did the work, I'd bet it is one of the nintendo R and D teams. maybe IRD or SPD.

IIRC Reggie indirectly said it was made by EAD (Group/Team 3, i assume), during that interview with Geoff Keighley at E3 last year. I wish they would include it as pack-in software, as I'm sure some of the other "experiences" will be. I know they won't include it, but still... LOOK AT IT

EDIT: I'm more curious about who made the Japanese Garden demo. It was glorious.

haha people always point to the Zelda demo but the garden demo is totally "glorious"...ive never wanted to have a game where you play as a bird so much ^.^

I want the tv channel G4 back soo badly... Directv lost it a while back. And I had to miss E3! Any suggestions of how to see a high quality video of it(aka not youtube if possible).

why not youtube? they have good 720p and 1080p vids of it.

also, g4 sucks. hard. the major e3 press confs will all be livestreamed in HD again this year.

The Zelda demo was pretty good, but I liked the Garden demo more since it had an awe inspiring look to it. Though I wonder if Pikmin 3 will look as good.

You shouldn't bother wanting that garbage of a channel anymore unless you want to watch reruns of Cops. -_-

Find an offical livestream next time and save yourself the trouble. Or even better, come to this site.

I don't remember where I read it, but it was the Skyward Sword team. They had 6 weeks to do it while still working on SS.
