Coming from last night's event...

"I believe that you are most interested in the details of the Wii U. Since the Wii U will be launched in Japan, the U.S., Europe and Australia in the year-end sales season... as we did for previous platforms that were launched in the year-end sales season, we will announce the launch date and price in each market sometime after E3."

The 'year-end sales season' pertains to Christmas shopping. Once again, this makes a November release very likely for the Wii U.

Keep in mind, many businesses "year-end" is September so they don't have to do year end work during the holiday season. This could throw a wrench in the answer.

It has to be early November. Can you imagine the chaos if the Wii u was released in December--just a few weeks before Christmas? "Here's the new NIntendo you all want. GO!" Get ready for more 'mace used at Wal-Mart' stories this holiday season if that's the case.

Jeez, if it is actually released in November, I'll have like, no money left. After the One Piece game, Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, and the next Professor Layton (cause come on we know it's coming this year) Ill be pretty strapped for cash during the holiday season.

I hope its released Oct. before the Holiday games rush, WiiU should not be getting those multi plat games weeks after the other systems that will hurt game sales. Release it earlier put out those games and the older ones then Nov bring out your big guns, it would be a bad idea to bring every game out at one time the week before black friday.

That's the date. Probably either 16 or 23rd for Europe.

I'm going all out at launch. Probably gonna pick more than 5 launch titles for this thing. People, imagine the day you get the Wii U, open up the box, smell the lovely scent of new tech, start up the console for the first time and play Assassin's Creed III. *.*

I'm predicting..end of September..like the N64..have us playing all those older third party ports and the 1st party games..for like a month..the.. BOOM..November comes..time to play all the big guns from 3rd parties..tra tra tra tra..then february it's here..BOOM AGAIN..time for exclusive 1st party stuff..ahhh the future..

P.s. and hopefully some Monster Hunter 4..for 3ds/WiiU..like dragon quest x and smash bros...
