Oh wow. I really like that art. It looks much more appealing to me than the NA boxart.

I wouldn't say it's dishonest, just a reinterpretation. Remember when Shiren the Wanderer for DS got released in North America, and suddenly Sega pretended it was 1995 and "Americanized" the cover art? This is like the opposite of that.

And at the very least, it isn't as balls-out crazy and irrelevant as something like Phalanx.
