ExciteTruck/Bots are vastly underrated. They are great games, not just for their genre.

No joke, I don't even enjoy Excitebike, as much as I try to and these games stand on their own.

Swords and Soldiers truly was a great game. I would recommend that anyone who didn't get it on WiiWare should go and download it. You progress kind of in an RPG fashion, getting new units and races as you go along. So much fun!

Excite Truck FTW!!! Excite Truck is one of my most delightfull surprises, and Nintendos decision not to bring its sequel to EU was one of my most undelightfull surprises.

Thats the BS of Nintendo; even when they have hard time full filling their customers needs, they might ponder whether they should localize perfectly good games that are already ready. Even if the localization don't make the localization effort profitable, they owe that to their fans.

Boom Blox is...are also awesome games, and their lack of awesome sales is one of great mysteries in gaming.

trauma team is my pick , surprised to see it in the list , full of new ideas not found in the previous trauma center games , with a great coop mode and deep adventure parts ( diagnostic and coroner ) . Quite long to finish (40h) , it's a real shame nobody played it . Far better than boom blox in my book , that game receives way too much credit since the beginning.

kororinpa 2 with the cheat code to find the original physics , that should not be missed either , a true 1:1 game that requires great dexterity .

the rest of their pick are well known to enthusiasts

I either own or have owned every game they listed. Shattered Memories is one of my favorite Wii games. My pick for best under-the-radar game: Klonoa.
We're going to rack up some serious Nintendogs trainer points together!

There are some really good picks in here.

Fluidity, ExciteBots, Rhythm Heaven Fever, Monster Hunter 3...all fantastic games that deserve more attention.

Also this reminded me I need to get MotoHeroz.

Game industry big-wigs chat about their favorite under-the-r

As much as I love Monster Hunter, and go back and play more of it every now and again, I don't know that I'd say it belongs on an "under-appreciated" list. The game has sold over 2 million copies now, and is the best selling console Monster Hunter Capcom has ever done. And Boom Blox is a million seller as well (the second, and better one Bash Party didn't do so well, though). I think more people are aware of and bought these "hidden gems" than people are aware of. :)

ah, I didn't know, that Boom Blox got million. Good for it...but not good enough. At least the sequel bombed?

These games were under-the-radar because the video game media didn't do their job.
