Colors 3d or Inchworm Animation?

Postby MermaidKelly » 26 Apr 2012 15:02

I've been wondering whether to buy Inchworm Animation or the newly released Colors 3d. What I really want is a sequel to Mario Paint! Maybe that will finally come for Wii U! Anyone with preferences or opinions on Colors 3d or Inchworm Animation? Thanks!

It depends on what you want. I only have Colors! 3D and it is great if you want to make 2D or stereoscopic 3D paintings, but you cannot animate in the program currently. Colors! 3D will get updates in the future, so people could hope for animation support to be added some day.

Thanks for the responses...I think Colors 3d sounds right up my alley, so I'll be buying it soon! Cortjezter..I liked "simple animation" in Mario Paint...only four frames! :D I'm actually not sure if I would have the patience for full force animation...hmm.

Ngamer01, you say Colors 3d will be getting upgrades? I didn't know there were any plans for that! Sounds like an even better buy then! :D

i currently have colors! 3d but inchworm animation is on my wishlist. as ngamer01 said, it's really a matter of what you want to do. colors! 3d is great for still digital illustrations. the only problem i have with it are that the exported images have a bit of .jpeg artifact distortion, and that it apparently stops recording your progress after a certain amount of steps. that's an issue because the image that's exported to the sd card is the last frame of your image's playback.
