I'm 100% happy with my Aqua Blue 3DS. I'm not really caring for the newer colors. The pink one is nice, but the blue one is sparkly enough for me. lol

I am getting the aqua blue one as well this Saturday! I love the color Can't wait.

With the recent announcement of the Midnight Purple 3DS do you think there will be another new 3DS color revealed at E3 next month? I'm thinking about getting a 3DS next week but maybe I should wait until after E3.

if they do and it's green and it's going to be released in north america i am going to stab a lot of things with knitting needles and then regret it because there are holes everywhere

It won't be an announcement they make a big deal about, but I have no doubts about them announcing a new color. If they don't, one will be announced within a month or two after E3.

I'd bet Europe or Japan would get it first before NA.

not only that, but japan got a green ds, no strings attached. if i wanted a green ds i had to buy it as part of some cooking bundle.

it's not like i'm gonna be legit supermad if there's a green 3ds since i didn't buy mine, but stiiill

Ice White is the color I've been wanting since it was released in Japan & Europe, I also like Cobalt Blue.

Why can't they share some colors and limited edition 3DSes with the rest of the world?¿?

Ice White is the color I've been wanting since it was released in Japan & Europe, I also like Cobalt Blue.

I myself currently want the Cobalt 3DS. If I had known about it sooner I would have imported it instead of the Ice White 3DS I got from Japan. (;A;)

I bet that a green 3DS will launch with Animal Crossing 3DS. Since Flame Red released with Star Fox and Mario Tennis Open is going to launch with Midnight Purple, I wouldn't see why not. Unless they have it for New Super Mario Bros. 2 or something.

I'm not really sure, have they announced different colors for their systems at E3? And I'm not talking about different color units used for demos, but more as "We can announce that X color will be released on Y date".
Butr if they announce anything, it'll be the Cobalt Blue one and Fire Emblem: Awekening, hopefully the bundle.

Will Nintendo ever consider releasing a portable console with a selection of 7+ colors at launch, just like the iPod Nano? They would surely sell more at the beginning, as many people have been waiting for red to come out before purchasing the 3DS... and then they could be able to rerelease a cooler version of the same color later (I'm looking at you, Cobalt Blue... you're so much better than my Aqua Blue!) or redesigns to make people rebuy systems :3

If the Aqua Blue 3DS is also being discontinued in North America (like it is in Japan) then I think its very likely it will be replaced by the Cobalt Blue modal. I would not be surprised a bit if the Cobalt Blue 3DS is announced for NA at E3 next month. What are your thoughts?

I would lean toward a "no". Even if Cobalt Blue is announced for NA at E3, I don't think it will spell the end of Aqua. At this point, NA has not expanded the 3DS color repretoire enough to warrant a phase-out. Hopefully we will get Cobalt, since it is pretty sweet (though I am quite content with my launch Aqua ), and combined with the addition of Midnight Purple NA will be sporting a nice color selection. Riding that for a bit, if Aqua sales plummet, then axing it would seem logical.

I wouldn't mind if Cobalt Blue replaced Aqua Blue 3DSes to be honest. It looks so much cooler if you ask me! I don't blame Japan for phasing it out since I'm kind of getting tried of mine as well. Please bring it over soon NoA. ^_^

The colors that are out now, I don't want. That's the SOLE reason I dont get one already.

Aqua Blue looms ok in pictures, but it is (IMO) DISGUSTING in real life. SOO glad I chose black at launch. Cobalt Blue is a 100x improvement, or at least I would think it to be.

Still holding out hope for NA releases of cobalt or white... maybe an orange if that one is released.

I'd happily snatch up that gorgeously sleek Ice White if they were to bring it Stateside, though. It'd be great to finally have all my gadgets be the same shade again--my Cosmo Black 3DS sticks out like a sore thumb as it is!

I have a Cosmo Black one. It's ok. It matches my frankenstick sort of (different plastics...)
But That Ice White one would really going nice will all my other recent Nintendo Electronics

Ice White is the 3DS color I really want, Cobalt Blue would be my second choice.
